  • I have the same problem. Black screen on S4 and S3 on initial load, Android default browser only. After reloading the browser the game works normally. The black screen only happens with WebGL enabled and on the first load. Please help.

  • Hi,

    Some bugs:

    • If you walk and jump against a wall and keep pressing left/right and up the character starts moving up the wall.
    • If you swing the pickaxe against an unbreakable wall the character jumps all over the plae
    • Overall the character jumps too much (set your collisions to bounding boxes instead of polygon shapes and centralize the image points)
    • Not sure how it happened but the character got stuck walking and I couldn't stop it I had to restart

  • Chamo this is cool. I like the physics and the player animation. You nailed how the ranchos look on the background, hehe. I think the black particles when you shoot the gun are too big, make them smaller so they look more like smoke. Can you add some on screen controls for mobile?

  • Store the player.x and the player.y somewhere before you destroy the player object. For example, in a Dictionary. Then, when you create the player again, reference the stored values. For example, Dictionary.Get ( "PlayerLastDiedAtX" ) and Dictionary.Get ( "PlayerLastDiedAtY" ).

  • Thanks for the advice. I want to keep it small, like a retro arcade game. Yes, I want to add a high score. Not sure how to do it yet. And perhaps add a breather/bonus stage stage every 5 waves or so to collect points and power ups without dying.

    Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated.

    The effects of upgrades are barely noticeable right now. But they're set up like this:

    Wings - Increase turret rotation speed

    Engines - Increase speed

    Guns - Increase fire rate, fire speed, fire power

    Cockpits - Does nothing now, but the idea is to increase the fire range

    The copper, silver, gold "things" do nothing ; ( I thought perhaps adding a "fuel" or "energy" level that is refilled by those "things". But I want to polish the basic gameplay instead of adding more features.

    Do you think the next step should be to improve the upgrades system?

    This is the first game I plan on publishing, first to Google Play.

    The controls are simple.

    Move by touching the screen (touch where you want to go or drag the ship).

    Attack by touching an enemy. Once you touch the enemy the target is locked.

    You can also play with your mouse for testing.

    I like the energy level. It makes you concentrate and not just shoot randomly. But it drains too fast making it super hard from the start.
