  • yonda, still need help. i left a link to a .cpax file in my post above if you'd like to take a look:

    thanks!

  • BluePhaze (or anyone):

Here's a screen capture of my event sheet. I see that you can change an instance variable, even with "clickable" as 1 of 2 options. I went ahead and set this so that any card other than Cardvalue 1 would have a clickable value of "false" (these events are on the Card 1 instance, by the way). And it still doesn't work, all the cards still fire/are clickable.

Can you tell what's wrong here? I've got to wrap this project today. Help!

    Thanks

  • through code or direct selection? if code, is that an action or event? thanks yonda.

  • i have 3 buttons and at one point i want two of them to be inactive and non-clickable. is there a simple method for forcing a button to be unselectable? how about through using a variable? button variables are card1, card2 and card 3. cards 2 and 3 need to be non-clickable. i started with "compare instance value -- if cardValue is not equal to 1" but i can't seem to find an action to pair with this which would disable the button.

anyone have any suggestions or a solution?

    thanks!

  • hi all

i've got two objects based on the same sprite.

each has it's own value, "Object1" and "Object2"

how can i code these to perform two different actions, as in what Event or Condition/s would i use? in the Flash world, i would write something like <if foo = "object1", do this, else do that> -- but this business of clicking on buttons to write code has me all thumbs when devving on this tool.

    thanks!

  • hi, first timer with construct2 and a very cool program.

got a simple question (read: noob). capx file is here:

    gift open

how do i get this animation to play on mouse click? i have tried the obvious solution, as seen in the attached file:

Mouse On Left button Clicked on "Box" "Box" Set animation to "Default"

                                            "Box" Start animation from beginning

    Anyone? Thanks

  • hi all

i'm a flash designer/developer by nature but have to build out two simple html5-based games for a project. i'm using construct2, as it seems like one of the better dev tools out there, but i'm totally mystified by it. help!

i need immediate help building out a simple "point and click" game: a number of trees are being chopped down by lumberjacks. every 5 seconds the tree "falls" (or drops down a notch). clicking on a lumberjack will return the tree to it's original height, but failing to click on the tree before it reaches it's last notch will result in the tree falling (or, in this case, the tree and lumberjack will flash a red color and disappear from the layout/scene). the gameplay lasts a duration of 30 seconds. it's a fairly straightforward game but I can't figure out how to do this in Construct2 in the time i have allotted.

i will pay you $400 to complete this, what i consider to be a simple game. shouldn't take you any more than 6-8 hours if you're skilled at using Construct2. assets are ready to go; it's just a matter of setting the behaviors.

contact me at modrockmanlzi@yahoo.com if interested. thanks!
