Hi everyone,
I've been interested in video games since I was a kid, mostly due to playing the Commander Keen series at my uncle's house, the oft-forgotten Sega Game Gear I had at home, and a kajillion CD-ROMs and floppy disks from the 90's shareware magazine explosion.
As a teenager I fooled around with Klik&Play a bit but never finished a game, I mostly liked making sprites move around and make stupid noises as they crashed into each other. Eventually I left K&P behind as I went on to pursue a filmmaking career, which is what I've been doing for pretty much my whole adult life.
Recently I worked for a global gaming giant and got that old "never meet your heroes" reality slap/check, which motivated me to go do my own thing and keep away from EvilCorp and middle management lemmings.
I heard about Construct a couple days ago and it appealed to me immediately since it reminded me so much of K&P's visual scripting events but with way more freedom -- and you gotta love that export range! Just downloaded the free version and will most likely start where I left off in K&P 15 years ago. Hopefully I'll be able to evolve my use of Construct from ludic toy to powerful tool.
I'm pumped!
