I don't really think anyone is trying to criticize you for trying to get something started. It's like I said earlier, it's not as easy as just making a post and hoping that people will join you. It takes a lot more behind the scenes stuff to get something like this going properly.

And are you sure it's not working? Construct doesn't have to export all the frames onto the same sheet for it to work properly.

People do it all the time. Just change the event sheet in the properties to match the one you want to use.

Your idea of using different animations on the same sprite is the way to go in most cases.

The game looks pretty cool but the goal seems a bit out of reach. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'll keep an eye on it and if you get close to funding I'll pitch in my support. Good luck.
