  • So when I join the start scene of my game, I press 'play' and play the game like normal. When the variable [lives] goes down to 0 in level 1, I go back to the start scene of my game again but the 'play' button will not work, nor will the other buttons on the page.

-When you die on other levels to 0 lives and go to the 'start' scene the buttons do work, except for level 1. there are 5 levels

  • I found the problem! It's because I forgot to connect the scene to the actual event sheet so no events could even be done oops

  • bump-

  • OK, I did what I could and I ran into a problem, can someone tell me what went wrong? the problem occours when I get into the game, touch the lava and no live sprites are deducted, including the variable.

    ^ Code

Lava = red, blue = platform, character is the small kind of Minecraft-ish character at the start.

problem occouring [this also doesn't deduct the global variable]

Here, you can see that I am touching the lava [invisible solid sprite, you can see I am touching it as I am floating from the ground]

    Finally, layers:

Finally, this isn't made for people to comment on the game but specifically why lives isn't working, can anyone find the problem?

  • This is a harder than usual question for me so pretty much I have a game and the red = lava which I have annotated, the 3 hearts signify your life which I have not made a variable from yet

3 lives and I want all gone when touched lava. How can I do that?

  • I want to make a level 1 scene with 512x512 window size, but my other scenes don't do 512x512... Is there a way I can make level 1 have an exclusive window size to the other scenes I have? Because when I try to change the window size of level 1 the window size of each other scene changes.

  • Yea I needed the 'else' event, I realized where though so thanks!

  • Thanks, it worked, but can you explain more about how to code the 'Else: Set animation frame to 0'?

  • Is there a way I can make my button glow, etc when I move my cursor over it? If so, can I know how? Thanks

  • Hi I'm bad and I want to know how I can link a button to go to another scene, like, if I can hyperlink a button to go to a different scene, how do I do that?

a picture of a button in the game.. just seeing how I can hyperlink this to a different scene? so how could I make this go from 'introduction' scene to 'help' scene?
