  • It's a bit crazy, i have a simple game, but it consumed a rather big memory using C2.

Anyone knows how to make cocoonjs or construct 2 not to load everything on start?

  • Thanks hollowthreat for your fast reply,

i just slim down my game, when it exported into zip file, its size is 145mb, in the project, it displays approximate download: 193.3 mb, and memory use: 544.3mb.

btw, do you know the maximum size of memory consumed that is allowed for the iphone to run well?

  • Hello,

I have compiled my game in cocoonjs into xcode, but when i run it into my iphone, it received an error message "terminated due to memory pressure", and closed unexpectedly.

My capx is 190mb, and it also won't work on cocoonjs launcher by closeing unexpectedly.

    Anyone having same issue?

    Please help me.

    Andy

  • Solve it.

I have just implement it in my project.

Thanks to sctcr, you're my life saver. :-)

    lol.

  • Thanks all..

    Got the capx file.

i am learning it now, but still get confused with the eventsheet. especially for the TouchScroll.

  • But, what i mean is, the player sliding the screen to scroll 8 direction of the level map.

how do you do that in c2?

  • Yes friend,

    a little similar like that.

  • No one knows?

  • Hello Everyone,

I just stuck in the map creation/programming process.

I want to create a map of levels, just like most of ios mobile game, such as candy crush saga.

    Some of the screenshots:

    cdn2.pcadvisor.co.uk/cmsdata/products/3445584/Candy_Crush_Saga_4.png

The view of map is scrollable by sliding the screen. I want to make one like that.

Anyone can teach me how to code it? <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Waiting for your help..

  • Hey dude,

Yes, i do think the webstorage will do this. But, still need to test it first.

    Thank you.

Our game is not in the Appstore just yet - we're releasing it in January - but I think if you use webstorage to store the data and don't clear the cache with any events on game start etc. you should be fine.

I'd double check with Ludei just to be sure... actually, there goes another thing on my growing to-do list!

  • Hi Ashley,

    Thanks for super fast response,

Ok. I'll try to ask ludei about this.

But, if anyone here who already published ios game, please share your experience.

    Thank you <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Dear All Construct 2 friends and Admin,

I am in a development process of my ios game with construct 2 and cocoonjs.

I have a question that always be in my head.

My question is, if i release an update of my already published ios game to the app store, will the new updated installation overwrite the old game data or reset the current player's save data?

or is there another step to be done to keep the save data to be not overwritten or resetted?

the player's save data will be the global variable that is saved after in-app purchased is made. i don't want my player to lose their game progress and their past purchase of IAPs to be wasted.

The answer is really important to me, and maybe some people will want to know it too.

Anyone experience creating ios game and has made an update for their game, please help us too with your experiences.

    Andy
