Actually by reading from these info i suppose that you should let the monster spawn 1 soul, when your char walks inside the soul, when it goes on collision i mean, the counter get istant +1 the soul spawn another soul (a completely different sprite which has no counter) the First soul get destroyed, the second soul move to the counter and on collision get destroyed Nothing more.
If it is automatical with no need to walk trhough the soul you may shoul the monster drop the first soul, make a countdown of 2 seconds and then continue identically after i wrote "when your char walks on collision with the first soul"..

Hello, you have to create 3 different sprites looking identical; one on dekstop clicable, one which is the dragged spawning on click, and then the actual real sprite which is placed; i recommend you to check a youtube video about the position central on a square for possible bugs on placing!!
