  • So basically I know how to import a tiled map into construct by using the tile map object. However, the issue I'm having is with the sizing of the map on import in construct.

    For example, in "Tiled" my map is only 128 by 160 tiles as you can see below

    However, if I make a map in construct like this one my map in construct ends up being way to small. So In light of this, I guess my question is how do I know what to scale my construct viewport size to in order to accommodate my whole map that I'm importing from tiled?

  • I mean zoom as in scale, I would like the camera to be more fixated on the character instead of a million miles away. I'll be sharing out my project file tonight.

  • I did that, but it's still super zoomed out when I press play. Any ideas? o.O

  • Understood, the only events I have though are ones to move the sprite and ones for the camera. See below.

  • I'm in the process of making a pixel art RPG and I've been able to make a camera and all of that. However, I'm having issues with Construct zooming WAYY out when I start the game by pressing play to test it.

    Does any one know of a way to make the game fixate on your character so that they are in focus instead of the entire layout?

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • I'm having an issue with buttons that I've been unable to figure out thus far. I have the button added and have no problems adding logic to it, but I have a hand drawn menu icon that I want to be attached to the button and show over top of it. I've tried setting this sprite up as the container for the button and I've tried putting it on a new layer but every time I do this the button shows on top of the sprite as you can see in the photo. Has anyone managed to figure this out? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hey guys sorry for the late reply I got this to work I appreciate your help! In regard to the tilemap its just as graham says you have to import the tile map one by from tiled. I wish you were able to import entire maps, but it is what it is.

  • Also I was getting an error message, something about the assets. I will try it again this weekend and post an update of what I get.

  • I didn't try that, but I did get the tilemap bar to display, thank you! I will try this and let you know if it works or if I have questions.
