I have a game in which cells/orbs collide, either consuming one another or reproducing in the form of another cell/orb.
The problem I'm encountering is that a few seconds into run-time, the player orb ceases to collide with anything. The cells and orbs are still moving, and they still collide and reproduce with one another, just not the player. He runs right through the others, as if no collision were happening any more at all. As a result, he neither consumes nor reproduces any longer.
Any idea what's wrong?
