  • Thanks for the reply. I'm actually looking to increase score by 1 on player getting a collectible object. If the player hits an enemy object, the score will be deducted by 1.

    So I need to know the correct events for this to put on the GameSheet.

  • Hi, I used a global variable on the game sheet:

    Name: Score

    Type: Number

    Initial Value: 0

    Static: ticked

    On the GameLayout, I have created text field:

    Name: txtScore

    Properties->Text: 0

    I am not sure what equations go to which field? If I put the subtract equation to Properties->Text field, it does not seem to work.

    Please give me an example and let me know which field I need to change to what?

    I have a txtScore that increases in points (numbers) when the player overlap collectibles. What I am trying to do is, subtract 1 point from the score, when the player overlaps an enemy.

  • Hi, apologize for the delay in updating you. I was waiting to get someone's laptop to try and export it from there. I did that and saw it exported fine on other computers. So the issue was with my laptop. I will just keep it this way for now since it is still the beginning of the course. When I need to export the apps, I will do it on another pc.

  • Would plugins or extensions in Google Chrome cause any problems or conflicts for C3 project export?

    Is there any additional support service given by Construct 3 development team for subscribers?

  • Im very new to Construct 3. Not sure if there are different versions of it as all I can see is that it's accessible using Web browser.

    This game is the first game that I helped my daughter make watching an online tutorial. But once finished having issues on export =)

    I'm exporting the project as Android Cordova.

    As for the runtime Construct 2, when I exported with that setting in the beginning, I wasn't able to install my APK file. Once I changed to Construct 3 runtime, it worked.

    Please let me know if you find anything. I feel it is something wrong with C3 export from my side, since I had sent you the same file as I had before and it exported fine for you, but not for me.

  • Hi, I have uploaded my APK, pls see if when you open it, it shows the white screen. I have tested on my daughters Samsung Tab and have the same problem. Your APK loads the game very fast without a problem. So wondering what is wrong when I export from my C3.

    Please let me know if you have the same problem as me when running the game after installing the APK which I uploaded. This way I might need some assistance maybe from Construct developer side to see your export works fine and mine doesn't?

  • i even signed and exported the apk and I have no issues while running it and even when I click on "more games" it is showing option to visit the link via installed browsers on the device.

    I tested your APK and it works perfectly. Are you exporting it directly to APK within C3? From my settings screenshots, is there something different which you did?

  • Hi, I tried the C2 runtime earlier. I am exporting into APK directly from C3. It compiles successfully and I am able to install on my Galaxy A8 Pro without an issue also. It is just when I run the app 90% of the time the screen is on the splash white screen for a long time and when it loads. The few times it did work, the game loaded fine, until I closed and tried to re-open the game. Below are my settings.
