  • So, I tried your game and I would say that it was fun to play! I complete all 8 stages and I enjoyed it.

I will explain and give you my opinion and experience from playing Zango's SA. As well as rating your project over.

    Graphics 6/10

The graphics overall are not bad. I usually hate those types of graphics in games because they look so cheap to me. But for your game however,it works and fits your theme well.

    Gameplay 8/10

The game play was fun and the controls were good. It wasn't awkward and the controls felt smooth as well as easy to work with playing it on the phone. The shark was very precise on hitting me so it felt like a good thrill to constantly avoid and run out of reach from that savage shark. I also enjoy the power up box, it added some fun factors to it, besides just jumping through the level. Using the rocket to fly through the levels was also fun and being invincible temporally was nice against that aggressive shark.

    Story/Theme 7/10

The story was okay, but at least I know whats going. The music was very nice and soothing for the opening. The menu was good and easy to follow. The only problem is that I just didn't like how small some things looked. I Know theres a lot of stuff in the game and you want it to look good on the phone, but I felt that the title should of been a bigger to stand out and everything in the gameplay (except the shark) should be medium size or a bit more bigger. Last, the menu to could be a little more organized. But it was easy to follow and understand.

    Overall score: 7.7

    Update:

I took a look back at your game and played it. I decided that it's actually a really great game, and the graphics are actually very nice (i give the graphics an 8). If this is your very first game you made and sold, you did a wonderful job. This can really reach out to alot of kids to play as well. It's very fun and entertaing and thrilling to play and it won't be so difficult for them to play either.

    Overall score is a 8.3 :)

  • Looking good, cant wait to test it out! :)

  • Oh my gosh, silly me. Didn't think of that. Thanks, it works.

  • How do you show a kill point whenever you shoot or kill an enemy? Im trying to get the point to show whenever u kill any enemy to show their point value of killing them. please look at the pic in the link below to have a better understanding of what im talking about.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Bros.#/media/File:NES_Super_Mario_Bros.png

In the pic, when Mario killed the Goomba, there's a 100 value next to it. Thats what im trying to do is show the value of the point when you kill an enemy. Anybody know how to do that?

  • Hello Construct community, im just so glad and happy that I finally started my path of making games. I remember the last time I posted here, I discuss about goals and games that I wanted to make and start since completing my very first game. So, a lot has changed and ideas that I shared with everyone before on here has changed as well. I posted that I would make an endless runner game, and a fighting game that I would like to start on and sell. Now I have a new goal and plans , and they are to simply have a better name for a game business when I am to sell and get organized first. So I got my two business names that I would like to be known for and so blessed for the names. ( I will not mention them here, but you'll see the name in my new upcoming games. It will not be a "GamerDude96 Production" anymore). So I got that figured out and need to pick which one to officially go by. My other thing that I wanted to share is that im in the process of making my new game which is a shooting type alien game. I know this seem/sound clicheish but I got some good ideas for it that I know I can pull off to make it unique in it's own way. Once it's done, it'll be my very first game that i'll try to sell and put on stream and sell in app store and place a demo for new grounds. Until scirra allow c3 runtime, i'll post the games else where. But anyways, very confident on this and can't wait to show everyone what im working on!

Also one more thing, Im in the process of learning 3D gaming as well. Im using Unreal Engine to get me started. I was using Unity, but Unreal Engine just seem more organized and more beginner friendly than Unity.

  • Thanks for your replies and feedback

  • What do you mean by that? Theres construct 2 and theres construct 3. Construct 3 is always getting updated and new features are always getting added every other week. What kind of problem are you worrying about encountering?

  • I don't think it would be a bad idea. I did have a problem with screen movement because the game shared the same keys as the paged. So whenever the player would go up or down using the arrow keys, so does the page. A person finally replied back to me on how to fixed this and he said to put in a lock page code in the java script. Unfortunatly , I was unable to edit or do this because I have no idea of what I was doing and I did not want to mess up my html java script file for my game. It kinda of go hand to hand, in a way. Game coding and computer science. So I think it would be nice to have a some tutorials about some things of computer science and what you can do gaming wise with the skills.

  • It works again now. Once I upgraded to the new construct 3 beta ( I believe its beta r145 ) my paint tools started working again and I was able to select a color.

  • So, I thought this was just something wrong with my settings but I realized that it wasn't. When making a sprite, I can't even add any color or even make a simple colored box. When I click on any of the tools, such as the paint bucket, brush, or pencil and try to click on any color as well as clicking the empty two color boxes , nothing happens. The you can only erase, and that is the default color (invisible). I refresh and even made a new project to see if that would do anything but it didn't. It actually has been going on since the new updated version of construct 3 beta. Is this happening to anyone else and how to fix this?

  • Oh wow. Okay, thanks for your answer and replying back.
