  • Thank you so much MPPlantOfficial, that's really helpful.

  • Problem Description

    1. When adding a button object on default it is set to auto-resize the text, but it doesn't

    2. If you click on the control points and resize the button beyond the zero width/height, the text comes out of the button in the editor, and during the run of the app the button appears as just a thin line, no text is displayed.

    Description of Capx

three buttons with different sizes the text has the same size, there's no option for the fontsize in button object properties. Fourth button is flipped (resized beyond the zero height/width, the text is outside the button.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Step 1 create a button object
    • Step 2 resize the button object
    • Step 3 resize the button to make it smaller beyond zero size.

    Observed Result

After resizing the text is not resized.

And after shrinking beyond zero-size the text is moved outside the button.

    Expected Result

    1. font type and size option for button text in button properties

    2. limit button to not go beyond the zero-size, or make it so flipping doesn't happen pulling out the text.

  • Ashley, are you planning to completely stop support and bugfixing on C2?

So what if we want these bugs fixed we'll have to pay for C3 as well?

  • Ashley, I was just about to ask about Global Boolean, and found this thread, It's 2017 and still there's no Global Boolean, is this ever going to happen, at least with plugin or something?

And you're working on Construct 3 but C2 is still with bugs.

  • Hi Onur,

did you find a solution, yet? I'm struggling with the same thing. I'm really annoyed by the limitations of C2, I've installed like 50 plugins and still miss a lot of capabilities.

  • Ok, so, I managed to install node.js and npm on my website's hosting. Using these instructions https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/installable-applications/manual-installations/installing-node-js-on-managed-hosting-accounts#Installation-prerequisites

However when I try to install the signalling server I bought from scirra I get an error/warning. The readme file states:

    Installing
    ==========

Install node.js from http://nodejs.org/ for Windows, Mac or Linux.

Once installed, install the dependencies with:

    npm install ws
    npm install colors

    [/code:1ue5luyn]

I have node.js and npm installed, but when I try to install ws I get the following output:
    [code:1ue5luyn]
    [~]$ node --version
    v6.10.0
    [~]$ npm --version
    3.10.10
    [~]$ npm install ws
    /home/username
    `--

wsrkx@2.2.0 `-- ultronrkx@1.1.0 npm WARN enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/home/username/package.json' npm WARN username No description npm WARN username No repository field. npm WARN username No README data npm WARN username No license field. [/code:1ue5luyn] Can anyone explain to me what's the issue here? I didn't get any package.json with the signalling server from scirra.

Why on earth have you responded - in a very impolite way also - to a post that was made 4 years ago?

This is a totally unnecessary post, as it adds nothing to the original query.

Any such future posts will just be deleted.

Please take care when posting on older threads.

    Thanks.

LOL so...the "police" doesn't target the criminal, but the vigilante. That's just ridiculous.

  • Thanks for the reply Ashley.

I have SSL certificate on my hosting (it's godaddy). I don't think there will be a problem with connectivity or security or setting it up. I was just wondering if I can do it using my website's hosting. Or do I need a dedicated Linux/Windows/Mac machine with real IP. Or the other option of course Virtual Server.

  • Hi,

How can I set up a signalling server on my website. Using my website's hosting?

Is it possible, at all? Or I have to run it on my personal machine and re-direct my hostname to my IP, use portforwarding and all other crap that come with it.

    EDIT:

I found this https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/installable-applications/manual-installations/installing-node-js-on-managed-hosting-accounts is this the answer to my question?
