  • Sorry. I'm sure this gets redundant but I need to know if C2 supports animated sprites. I'm assuming through use of sprite sheets containing the necessary frames and that you need to set the speed, number of frames, and their coordinates. Yes? Or am I way off the mark?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Thanks

  • C2 does have the capability to down scale the window under the fullscreen settings in the properties.

Thank you Arima. Really appreciate your help. But I just want to be absolutely sure. Excal mentioned earlier that it only worked for browsers or am I miss reading him? Cause my team isn't deploying to HTML 5 at all. We are strictly going iOS. Could you please confirm your answer? Thanks. You're a big help.

  • So does C2 not have the capability to down scale automatically from a larger (Retina) resolution to a non-retina resolution for use on the earlier iPads, etc? Such as iPad 1 and 2?

Or do we have to make several versions of our sprites and sprite sheets in order to get the graphics to show up on multiple devices beyond Retina.

Thanks for any help offered on this.

  • Nimtrix

Thanks bro! Great example. Really appreciate it!

As to my first question, here's an example of what I'm asking for:

can I give the impression of moving a "Manhole Cover" by pressing/clicking on the manhole png object and manually slide it away from the man hole tunnel or choose to manually slide it back into place. Can something like this be done?

And can it be moved in any direction? Up, down, side to side, and diagonally?

    Thanks.

  • Hi all,

New here. I'm an artist on a development team and we are using this fine engine. Currently I'm producing art for a prototype to see if the planned mechanics will work.

Before I waste my time as well as the lifespan of my head hair could someone please answer the two questions I have below. Doing so will help me better plan out my renders. Thanks in advance.

    1. Is it possible to set an animation of a layer (object) moving side to side, up and down, or even diagonally within C2?

    2. Is it possible to animate a layer (object) fading out to zero opacity over time?
