  • It is still not going to work with a limited joint, since the legs will still try and to the same thing and get held at the maximum limited angle set. That could maybe work if I lerp the legs back to their initial angle and maybe each other body part over a certain amount/second, so that is a good idea. Now, the leg movement will rather be a bit more complicated. I'll have to figure something out. Hope someone one the forum has a good idea willing to share for that :/

-Yeah, I will probably use impulse for jumping and yes I went though the ragdoll template and all the physics documentation explained by Ashley.

    Thanks for replying mumu64!

  • How is this kind of Character Movement Physics accomplishable? https://youtu.be/PsEZ81-UqDU?t=16s (Game in video was made in Unity)

I've tried jolting all the body parts together and then applying a constant small uplift force, but the legs keep spreading and the character keeps turning around on his head. I've adjusted the densities and forces, but I can't just make it work, and I am not sure how I would make the character move, even if I got this right.

Can anyone give me some direction please?

  • Oh, sorry I couldn't find nothing on them.. My bad.

And that's really amazing! Thanks for letting me know!

  • I've seen Game Jams beings posted by so many engines like Unreal Engine, Game Maker, Buildbox etc. and I haven't seen a single Construct Jam, why is that?

  • Just to clear what the bug is. The behaviors of the entire objects got bugged when I added pin, can't remove pin or add any other behaviors, since the button disappeared to do so Mistery solved

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Uh there's a month work worth of events in my project so couple of hundred large events. I'll manage to fix the bug already, I don't satisfy with bugs

  • Except I'm using it wrong, since I'm not sure how to pick a single object with this.

Here's how I actually tried it:

  • I've tried the 'animation is playing' and it doesn't seem to be working :/, it still selects all of the objects regardless of the animation im comparing it to. It's actually the reason for me asking this question on the end

  • Yeah, but I'm asking about an effect that would suit it, since I haven't been able to create such a good one, or if there even is a premade one in the forums that someone knows of. Still, thanks.

  • Both instances are of the same object. The object has 2 animations. The animation "Food" contains different static food sprites, while the second animation "Weapons" contains different static weapons. How do I select the right object, since it is not on the same animation, so I can't select it by its frame and I don't want to use UID for this.

  • Oops sorry, thought I posted the link.

The normal AK and the following Laser AK:

    youtu.be/00oMwlMdtIY

  • I think you got the best way since I played an hour in a project with various effects and objects trying to get it done, but I only saved maybe 0.5% cpu usage in a minute, but it's quite random of course. It also kinda loses it's fog resembalence as you try to turn down the usage. My personal conclusion..
