  • I did something exactly like that with instance variables (I named the variable "frame") rather than comparing frame numbers

The ">=" is because double clicking can increase the variable faster than the software can react.

This was a while ago (Very early effort with C2) and I don't recall why I chose that method, nor do I recall why I chose "tap" over "touch" - but it works perfectly so it may work for you.

    I hope that helps!

  • OK, I gave it a run through.

I actually never played one of this sort of game before (for one who enjoys making games, I have surprisingly little knowledge of most popular games and game types). So here's my impression...

It was fun at first, but not enough variety to hold my attention for long. You were right about sounds, they would help a lot.

To my surprise, I liked it a lot better after the poop "died"and became a punk. The punk-poop was funny and entertaining while the poop-poop was boring. I played at least as much just laughing at the poop-punk as I did to kill the poop-poop while waiting for it to become amusing.

Suggestions would include giving a few reactions to the poop-poop instead of just the 2 it has. Maybe let it grow with the right foods. Too much soda and it could become runny. Even turning green with too much broccoli?

To make it more challenging, it could poop out another poop to feed. Then there'd be 2 poops. And if it reaches the same point, each of those could poop another poop making 4 poops. You win if you fill the screen with poop?

But again, I never played this sort of game so that may go against what you had in mind.

I don't think the rest of my ideas are suitable for a family oriented forum...

  • Personally, I'm a sucker for poop games.

Potty Humor is the highest form of Art!

Will definitely be checking this out soon.

  • This may help:

It allows BB code in text. Should do all you mentioned.

    I hope it helps!

  • I use both 2D Pixel Art and 3D Art (from both my own models and commercially available ones).

Each serves it's own purpose and neither is superior to the other.

... If you learn a user-friendly 3d software, you can easily create stunning models/landscapes etc. in short time. But to create good 2d artwork, you need to be a true artist.

While I respect your right to your opinion, I always take exception to the phrase "true artist" (especially applied in this sort of context) since it marginalizes whole groups of Artists.

Both take True Art Talent to make nice stuff. A True Artist is not defined by the tools chosen to create their works.

  • I must say, that was inappropriate.

Don't worry, I'd never link to my naughty games on a family friendly site. But I never thought just mentioning they exist would offend anyone.

Sorry if it bothered you, but it was just so ... Obvious (to me).

  • Wow!

Thanks This presets such amazing possibilities.

I am going to make something so perverted with this

There are two unsolved things in this:

    1. The spring mesh can be made to fold in on itself.

    2. The balls can teleport through walls if either are going fast enough.

I actually found those two aspects to be the most amusing parts of the demo. Made me laugh, and that is the goal of ... Life really.

  • Thanks for this - I'm finally ready to start exploring add-ons, effects, behaviours, and other plug in stuff.

This seems like it will get a good deal of use

  • I have a project for school and i need to work on it at home, what do i do because i don't want to pay to do homework, my project has 140 something events and its due on monday, help

Sounds like your best/only option would be to split it up into smaller pieces (or buy a license) (school is known to be expensive by anyone who went to college).

With no knowledge of what you're doing, it's impossible to know if such a thing is possible. If it can't be split into several bits, then all that's left is to cut stuff out or get a new idea.

    Good luck!

I'm inspired by really good puzzle type games like Tetris despite never successfully making one. But they inspire me to fail at the effort nonetheless.

And big grand sweeping RPG games too. I got really far on one in RPGMaker 2 for PS@, but ran out of memory and got too depressed to try and make it work. I'm hoping to remake it for Construct 2 despite the issues I already foresee (2D vs 3D, and my own inability to be clever with arrays, and that sort of thing).

  • OK, but I warn you - I am ... Different

    10. Looney Tunes - Sheep Raider (PS2)

    9. Duck Tales (NES)

    8. Star Trek - TNG - Future's Past (SNES)

    7. Looney Tunes - Back In Action (PS2)

6.Ultraman (Super Famicom Version Only) (Original 1960's Ultraman!)

    5. Final Fantasy (Series)

    4. Discworld 1 & 2 (Playstation)

    3. Tetris

    2. RPGMaker 2 (PS2)

And still my all time favorite computer game:

    1. The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (text adventure - I still have it on 8 1/2 Inch Floppy for my still working Apple II-C!)

  • Hi palexeev.

I'm too new here to be sure, but that post may well be considered spam!

To those in the know: Should I report posts like that, or trust the staff and more experienced members to find them?
