  • From a technical standpoint, using pixel art takes way less space and may load easier and faster. Giving that retro feel to your game might be something you want to achieve. It still requires skill to make the artwork and retro games are very popular lately.

  • Hello people! Apparently I look like a total douche in my picture, but anyway! My name is Dylan and am currently in my graduation year of Illustration/animation and decided to use Construct to make my ever first game, which is working quite well for me.

The game I'm working on is about the relationship between man and machine and its dependency.

In the back of a truck

    In an alley

I am currently making it to be like an adventure ish game where you play as a robot where you need to tall to people and visit several locations in a dystopian city, not sure which game elements would be interesting for it.

Well, that's me! Sayonara, auf wienerschnitzel and stuffies..

  • Hiya guys!

I'm new to the forum...or any forum actually.

I am in my final year of my study as illustator and animator and I decided to finish my final project by making a game.

I am very glad I found this game engine a while back as I have no knowledge of programming. I am planning to purchase the full version, as soon as Paypal verifies my bank account...soon...

My game will be a side scrolling/adventure game with some beat-em-up elements where you play as a robot who will face certain trials while trying to collect a serum for a very sick child. The game is set in a dystopian world with retro-ish graphics.

As a part of my exam also requires me to do some field research, I wanted to post some of my work up till now. I am wondering which thoughts and feelings these images evoke and if there are any tips or critiques, please let me know. I really want to grow as a storyteller and creator. I am using the technique of using existing images and photos and making them into 8 bit, where some elements are made from scratch.

In the back of a van

    The main character, D

    Some of the denizens

    Some dialog portraits

    The city

    A dealers store

    A back alley
