  • i was just thinking the same thing, I am feeling like to reproduce it you will need another sprite to hold the effect. The warp is pretty cool as well, I need to learn more about these effects and how to apply them to my projects. C2 has a ton to offer right out the box and many of people like myself have yet to even try and experience it when in all truth everyone should be taking advantage of these awesome features.

    I will play around with it as well, What im not quite understanding is do i need to spawn a sprite with the effect on it , wait so many secs for the effect to run its course then destroy that sprite? Thanks again for the reply i never sleep and im glad to see some active people on here at this time! its 4am for me more coffee! lol

  • no i have not but i will try it. Ive seen the effect used in alot of games over the years but i really never knew how it worked or how to make it happen.

  • I really would like to know if we are able to do this with C2. I looked in the forums and google and didnt see much about it.

    Edit: I actually just seen a video and seen this type of effect in the game Airscape if im correct. If it is possible to do this how can I?

    Is this a out of the box feature or do i need to do something special with sprites?

    Edit: After reading everything great job!! and when this is complete please let us all use this! i have been wanting to use lighting like this for a long time and is one of a few reasons my main project is on hold. Good luck on this effect!

  • Just a small casual game where you grow different foods that can be sold for gold to random merchants that appear in the next stage.

    1 of 3 different zombies in game as of now but more enemies are on the way!

    The meat of my game will consist of customizing your own space in the game world. Dont mind my clutter as i was just testing out just a few of the furniture options i have in game while i was messing with the drag and drop features.

    Allowing the player to not only place items where he or she would want them to be but being able to switch the layer an object is on,Rotate and Mirror them as well.

    There is a ton of items that are not being shown but i have 100's of different furniture items along with wallpapers,rugs,sofas and so so much more.

    The end game for me is allowing the player to make a home within the game world that he or she can fully make custom from trees and clouds to the sun,moon and stars in the sky.

  • Hi everyone im trying to test my game since im more than half way to closed beta. I keep getting a black screen when i export my project and i really dont understand why.

    Can someone point me toward some kind of official updated way of exporting through xdk. I feel like i dont know what im doing when it comes to third party exporting. I really wish we didnt have to depend on this stuff if we cant have a clear way to work with it just as C2 offers.

    If someone can point me in the right direction i would be thankful.

  • just google 2d topdown game assets royalty free and im sure you will find some stuff

  • OpenGameArt.org is the best place but it has a mix of sprites. i dont think ive seen any with only topdown style art.

  • Snowmany this is a great example and its almost exactly what i was trying to achieve from crashlands. You should make a tutorial and provide this capX im sure many people will be as grateful as i am to have your help in seeing how to make this work.
