  • I'm not really a big forum veteran so hopefully I'm not stepping on toes creating this topic, but some very basic searching around and couldn't find a good place to submit enhancement requests. So, in true enhancement request fashion I thought I'd throw one out there.

    I keep hitting a decent use case for some sort of CreateObject by name functionality. I am working on a level editor and have a name property on my objects but I still end up creating a big giant "select" with each line comparing object.name == "name x" then CreateObject.

    Just a thought... might not be possible.

  • also experiencing this same problem. Is there a way to setup a local signalling server perhaps using node.js. I've was surfing around and found https://code.google.com/p/rfc5766-turn-server/ but not knowledgable enough with WebRTC to really know if that is necessary or not.

    it may not be very hard to make a real simple one, but then maintaining it is a pain, its very hacky to add a line or two here and there all over your project to output debug text.

    I'm going to dropkick all these multiplayer voters. (I'll wear flip-flops, so it doesn't hurt quite as much, but you still get the point)

    Yes it would be great to have multiplayer, but you have to weigh it against what you'd NOT be getting! We might be able to get 2-3-4 of these other features in place of all the time spent on trying to hack together a multiplayer plugin. Please think about that before you vote.

    I love to see this list, because it means Scirra knows exactly what areas I think they should be focusing on.

    Debugger is a must - I hand rolled my own quazi debug window, but a native solution would take the framework to the next level, it should be a priority before pretty much anything else.

    Modularity is key as well, any improvement in this area will be big for construct users and depending on how it's done could really help people working in small teams.

    I did get past the account creation, I was able to get an account setup, a game added, an API key created. I think the issue was chrome was blocking popups so i just wasn't being notified.

  • is Clay.io having issues? I've been trying to create an account for a while now and keep getting a "maximum request" error.

  • Howdy folks, Name is Dylan. I'm a .Net developer and was interested in C2 when I saw it flash by on steam not long ago. Last night in a .Net user group meeting the presenter talked highly of c2 so I decided to give it a go. Great software.

    I have done XNA programming and had a nice start to a simple mmo using SignalR as backend, but it was sooo time consuming for 1 guy I just gave up, this really speeds up the process, and allows exporting to html 5... that is soo great. Good luck to everyone and feel free to drop me a line.
