    well today i have another little question.

    i will do a kind of a "Battelship" game. So i ha a Grid. I can also drag around the stuff i wont, but now is my problem, how i can save the "position" in a array?

    Its more less like this:

    1 2 3 4 5

    2 x x x x

    3 x x x x

    4 x x x x

    5 x x x x

    so now i wont to now, object xyz is in quarter x/y (like 2 / 4)

    then i will have to now, what is in this quarter. so do i have to do 3d array to save also "what" is in there? or is there a more simply way!?

  • well ok i have don this right now... but now i have also a lot of very small pieces. Other peaces are ok...

    so but this is way how it supposed to work?

    just a silly queston. I have downloaded the "scirra bundel" an there is in the "Jungel platformer" a pic. called "TILES" well now i would like to now how to use them in my game? Do i have to cute them out? or is there another "simple" way to do that?

    now i have another silly question. I was thinking about a car racer game. But how i cane make a kind of K.I.? because when i make a "way" where the npc cars are always driving it will be impossible to win :)so what will be the "way" to go to make a bit more "realistic" k.i. for a car?

    another idea of me is maybe that i say, speed = x then check left and right how much the distance is to the border, and then maybe whit a lite random moving a bit more to the left or the right side...

    i don't now, is just an idea. i hope some won will have a better idea ;)

  • thehen yes i can "ping" whit ajax. but this means i will have to make a request to the server. it will be nice to have a way that the server is sending the ping to the client, so i don't have every x seconds a request.

  • well thanks for the informations....

    so there is also now way to "wait" for an update, like that the PHP script or what so ever is "sending" an information to the client that there is an data update. and when this signal is coming you make a ajax request?

    more easy...

    (my game is waiting)

    (the other make a move or something, this update my data on the server)

    (the server is sending an "ping" to my game)

    (no my game check for this new data update)

    so you don't have to make every x second a request!

    is there a way to do something like this?

    i hope you where understanding everything ;)

    no my question. I would like to now how to do a kind of a multiplayer game? like "Battleship" or something like this. what will be best way to do? Maybe whit "Ajax, mysql, php" or is there also a easier way to do?
