  • I had those in the game before, but they didn't seem to resolve the isue (or even do anything at all). Thanks for taking a look though.

  • I'm working on a game, based off the infinite runner template, but for whatever reason I can't get past the problem of friction. Whenever the player hits the onstacles, he slightly moves to the left. This problem increases when I increase the bullet speed of the obstacles to add to the difficulty. I've included the .capx if anyone wants to take a look.

  • That was indeed the problem. Instead of putting it in the events where I created the obstacles I put it somewhere else, applying it only to the current obstacles. I guess that's what happens when you work with less then normal amounts of sleep.

  • I'm working on an endless runner game where the player has to jump from obstacle to obstacle. To make things interesting I increase the bullet speed of the obstacles (for example: "Obstacle.Bullet.Speed * 1.05" using the Every X Seconds action. But shortly after that event increases the speed, something else resets the speed back to it's default value. I cannot find any other event that is supposed to change this, and in Debug mode I can't seem to find out what exactly is changing it. Any ideas?

  • Hi Matt,

I'm really interested in getting my games up on FGL but I have a question regarding the paperwork: I get the part about the US and tax treaties (Yay for being Dutch), but what exactly is in the forms that we need to sign? Do we need to have a business/be incorporated/etc?

  • PixelPalette, maybe it's an idea to make a table/list in your original post so people don't have to go through all pages of your (wonderfully informative and helpful) thread?

  • That sounds like a really helpful list. Guess that's a good reason as any to follow your blog.

  • I feel so stupid right now. Sorry, can close/delete this one.

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

    dropbox.com/s/t30ihrk3yku0q8s/GraphicalGlitch.png

There is no .capx attached because it is not an issue with a single project. I've reproduced it with new AND existing projects. Don't auto-delete this, pretty please?

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Install Construct 2 r135

    2. Uninstall Construct 2 r135

    3. Install Construct 2 r132

    4. Start Construct 2 r132

    Observed result:

    Graphical glitch, see screenshot.

    Expected result:

    Business as usual.

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: N/A

    Firefox: N/A

    Internet Explorer: N/A

    Operating system & service pack:

Windows 7, Service Pack 1. Updated my graphics drivers, even though it wasn't an issue with any other release of Construct 2.

Edit: Forgot to add my graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce GT 540M (laptop).

    Construct 2 version:

    r132

After not having used C2 in a while I downloaded the latest beta release. It kept crashing on me (not just the Alt button bug, freezing after a seemingly random amount of time), so I downloaded the latest stable release (r132), uninstalling the beta release in the process. After I ran C2, whatever I did, the graphical glitch keeps showing up. I've tried making new projects (it doesn't show up without a project loaded or created), all with the same result.

If I install r135 (uninstalling r132 in the process), the graphical glitch does not appear, but then I'm stuck with the crashes.

  • Great to hear. I guess I'll just have to wait, as hard as that is :P

  • Try Construct 3

  • I can't believe I missed all your progress! In any case, it's awesome to see how far you've come, I hope Photon will realise that the sooner they get to working on it with you, the better it is for them. This can make multiplayer in Construct so much better and easier. Props to you man, props to you.

  • I think it'd be a good idea if, when you undo or redo something, Construct scrolls to that action. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of what you undo/redo, and it'd help a bit with that.
