  • Like i said in the other thread, you can use Bullet behavior without flipping or morroring. Here is an example:

  • If you use Bullet behavior, you dont need to flipp or mirror your Sprite/TBG. You can change the angel of motion like this: [Condition] -> Set angle of motion to Sprite.Bullet.AngleOfMotion + 180

    And yes, all movement behaviors use dt, except Physics.

    But I still notice a stutter when the object is getting slower.

  • I think that's the way it has to be. Retro is just not smooth! Beyond a certain moving speed of an object, one inevitably sees how it moves pixel by pixel, because of the very low resolution. As far as I remember, there was always a stuttering in very old games in similar situations. A smoother gaming experience simply requires a higher resolution.

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

  • If you disable 'Pixel rounding' it looks much better.

  • You dont need two obejcts for this. Take one tiled background, give it two Fade behaviors and dont destroy it:

  • This problem is caused by the Fullscreen mode 'Scale inner/outer'. This changes the aspect ratio of the visible canvas. The actual viewport size is still valid and always stays in the middle of the visible canvas. The wider you draw the window, the farther the text goes to the middle.

    Either you change the fullscreen mode into 'Letterbox (integer) scale' to keep the aspect ratio or you add this action to your game (this has worked for me at least):

    The '6' in this expression is your HUD layer.

  • When i create a new project with a layer parallax 0x0 and a text object it works perfectly fine. So there must be something in your project that is causing your problem and we can not sense it. Simplest way is to give us the capx file or at least some screenshots with code, layout, objects... anything is better then nothing.

    EDIT: This example is a Platformer but its the same for Topdown, just change the Origin of the LayoutChanger to the Middle and move the Player according to the angle of the LayoutChanger:
