  • This probably isn't the first time this has come up

but if I had one wish would be a tile map creator and movement that sticks to a tiled background

so the movement style would be to tile point, coding tile maps is twisting my melon

it would really help me as I cannot get my head out of games that use tile maps and movement on tile maps

if you guys ever feel the urge to make this dynamic easier i would be eternally grateful

  • Nice game nice play style

The stamina potion drops needs increasing badly, it is really off putting to put the time in and get so far only to be rubber banded back to the start, or increase stamina

adverts kill my enthusiasm, rubber banded back to watch an advert again is a minor annoyance

Like the combat simple and effective

some help text would be good around stuff (I know this is probably on your to do list)

    cool game

  • My thoughts as a player :)

at first (i skipped the tutorial)

i wondered what was going on, the interface was pretty confusing

however i then sat and played until about day 29 and got thoroughly sucked into game play (until my boss came into my office and i thought i better close it down)

great little game, really challenging, and i enjoyed it

some different cannons would be awesome like a spawn cannon which you could spawn minions from for the sequel!

or a paying for defences so you could ignore a couple of rolling balls

great work! I am going back to it to get the most out of it now i know what is going on!

  • thanks necro these things are on my to do list thanks for the references

  • Merry Christmas mighty chums!

  • Nice work

  • CoffeeOD

preach on brother, I feel the same, found this by chance and let my imagination go crazy on a game I have been trying to put together for yonks.

I paid for and started programming courses which have pretty much all fallen by the wayside since i found C2

faster than learning detailed programming, but I still have months of work ahead of me

    from another very lazy dev

  • Really nice bro like it, when my buddy is over Christmas i will get him on this as well as we were lifelong gauntlet fans on the spectrum we will love this

  • Thanks Shinkan, older post but answered my question too

  • Pretty good, liked the idea of sucking in enemies to cook

am I missing something or is the level about a screen long?

the longer you cook them in true microwave powers should mean a harder attack, so you nuke it for 5 minutes you have some indestructable black diamond hardness fly out - just a thought :p

or shiney metallic enemies cause you to lose life and can only be killed by shooting (microwave shiney objects tends to cause sparks and reflected cooking)

frozen enemies need really long otherwise they might fly out and a smaller version spawns in its place/where it landed (inner core was still frozen)

battery or super charged voltage power ups :)

sorry about my ideas there just some daft stuff

but the controls were pretty cool, liked it in general, good effort

  • Like it pretty simple stuff

for touch apps i would set a power bar at the top rather than number which goes really quickly

maybe some sort of cannon angle indicator so you can repeat shots with a bit more power

i liked it, thought it was broken but must have got to last level with bouncy bars

be cool if you could knock your own balls

you do lots with the levels buckets you have to fill to make a see saw go down to make a ramp to the last bucket ect

some sort of Ferris wheel with the bucket on

loads of potential for a simple game like this

    I personally really liked it

a la bombard etc you could go multiplayer to get to bucket first

  • Thanks Nimtrix

necro-bump but just found your example very useful thanks matey
