  • Hey Guys,

There have been a couple of post about performance with C2 and CocoonJs

    construct.net/en

    construct.net/en

I am wondering if we can expect any updates in the C2 physics (Box2d i believe) engine to match the one from cocoonjs.

  • I know you guys are working hard on this, but here's some more test data.

I ran the cocoonjs box2d demo on my 5 year old android (droid incredible 1GZ - 512MB - android version 2.3.4) and get a solid 40 fps when adding 60 of those asteroid objects.

Next I ran the construct 2 Angrybirds demo - it got down to 2 fps.

A simple ball and ground gave me about 20 fps.

I hope some progress is made on this topic.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for the quick reply :)

I was able to get up and running again and resubmitted my game.

Not really a bug, but I do think that you should not have to update to the latest beta version in order to publish (only to the latest stable version perhaps).

  • Try Construct 3

I had to upgrade from the latest stable [108.2] to 109 beta in order to publish (This seems weird to me). This introduced a couple of bugs (see bug reports on 109).

I have automatic backup turned on, but the backup file is 109 beta as well and can't be opened in 108.2. I've made backups along the way, but it would require significant time to get it back into a state where it is now.

Any suggestions? When is the next stable version expected?
