  • One way could be to have a sprite rotate "every tick" to track the movements of the mouse. So the rotating sprite is the arm and gun. The angle will be determined by comparing the x and y coordinates of the mouse to the x and y coordinates of the body of the character.

    thank you very much....but i need the character not to show it is aiming until the character shoots then you can see where its aiming.

    a trying to create a platform shooter,where the player has the ability to shoot in angle but only move left and right but there a thing i cant come across.

    i want the player to aim 360 but his arm can only rotate to 180 and if he has to move to the other 180 his whole body has to turn or flip,meaning the player can only aim from up to down and if the mouse move behind him he will turn(his whole body)to the mouse position. anyone! please!help!

    is there a way an object can be pined to another object.just like construct 2. i want to create a shooter with limb and torso movement where the torso can shoot in 360 degree direction and the limb(legs) will move left and right(for platform shooter) and also move 8 way direction(top down shooter).thank you

  • i need to create a 2d shooter where the player can aim at any angle but move his lower limbs only left and right.the controls, the keyboard will have platform movement and then mouse to aim at any angel with 8direction movement.i think i need to pin to different object sprite then give them certain behaviors but i need a profession look into this matter, and i know there is someone who knows better :) anyone i would gladly appreciate it. :)

    i try to modify and add a few things to make it my own but i cant.it keeps telling me it was built on a later construct classic.what i have right now is r1.2 please how can update it so i can run it

  • I uploaded a .capx in arcade, it comes 2 methods, it may look not perfect to you, be aware it's using bound to layout. I hope it helps you.

  • I'm looking this too, it would be Konami's dodge style, we've seen enemies can dodge pretty good in Konami games.

    I was thinking if i put choose() expression to get pasive by 50% chances via the distance condition, then create 2 variables as sucess and fail, if is succeded, the sprite dodges using bullet with high speed at short time to left or right via bullet or sprite angle where it aproximates, last by 0.5 second, if is failed, it couldn't dodge.

    If you don't understand, i will make a .capx when i get chance

    Are you confusing Construct Classic with Construct 2 perhaps? I think construct classic has line of sight behavior.
