On the tizen app callenge page for the appbakr contest, they announced 24 250$ winners:

    tizenapps.challengepost.com/updates

Apparently additional winners will be announced later in the week. So they may be busy finding the additional winners. I'm still waiting on my 1xxx$ prize of cash incentives. Hopefully were contacted for that as well.

  • I guess it's an alright idea but once again I just don't think it's that necessary. But if you really wanted to use it on your ipad You could do what Arima suggested and use a remote desktop app like phone2pc and pretty much play around with C2 remotely using your ipad. Then just upload the games to dropbox using your remote desktop app and test it using your ipad's browser. The developers of scirra currently have better things to work on (like multi-player WHICH THEY JUST ANNOUNCED!!) so this would be more of a thing in the future.

I'm just wondering, did you use PixelRebirth's method? Or did you find a different way to do it?

I integrated the api or atleast I thought I did. I just can't seem to get the example advert to close for mobile phones which is odd since it works on the browser.

    Any news?

Yes I have the same issue as well. It seems when the show ad appears the x button doesn't work. The example ad doesn't seem to close on mobile phones. But wouldn't that be due to fgl's api? Anyone know a workaround?

You mentioned that the game had to work on mobile as well. Did Spil games ask you to make a .apk and a .ipa file for your game for android and ios? Or did they run the game directly from the phone browser?

  • It would probably be better to program the scenes in yourself using variables. However, if you think you can't do it (I'm sure you can) then you could make the cut scene using your favorite video editor and then simply popup that video when its time for the cut scene to appear.

It might make the file size large, so an alternative could be to save videos on some online storage or something then refer to it using construct 2's browser actions.

  • I have seen your previous version and decided to comment. WOW, that was a huge change from the previous version of the game you posted (the rpg example with borrowed sprites). Are the sprites self-made? The artistic style in this is very appealing.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Jet Hero Alpha is now on kongregate:

It also includes the drawing mechanic for the game.

OH GEEZ, how ignorant can I be...

Thanks for pointing it out again. Your method works, I feel dumb for not rereading your post..

" You can do all this simply with the execute javascript action of the browser object. You'll just put "fgl.showAd();" or "fgl.showMoreGames();".   "

I guess the plugin really is not needed. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I guess the next thing to do, would be to see if our games get accepted by fgl.

  • Also it might not be such a good idea to send your direct html5 export to fgl. I'm not claiming that they steal or anything but I think it might be best to have your scripts obfuscated so sponsors or companies would have a harder time to steal and edit the game. Since minify doesn't work I guess i'll have to manually edit my scripts so they look like a bunch of jargon. Unless someone can fix the minifying issue with the fgl plugin.

    Any takers?

  • PixelRebirth

But wouldn't you just be linking the player to this URL if not edited?

But then again I guess FGL would decline the game if we did edit the file.
