  • I'm not really sure what you're asking, how can I make artwork without being an artist? You can buy premade artwork I guess, there is some in the store on here. You could make a nice particle effect using particles in C2. To make that exact animation though it looks to be a sprite animation that someone will draw. It's possible you could do something similar by making your own workaround movie by adjusting the opacity of a sprite or by using the fade in/out behaviour but the original animation is very detailed and made by an artist.

Yea what i was asking was could i make something similar using c2 features. I know about particle effects and i have used them alredy, not sure though if i can imitate this effect using that, i´m gonna have to try.

Regardless of it, i cant figure out how to do it i guess i´m gonna have to make a sprite sheet and try to imitate that effect the best i can.

    Thanks for the answers!

  • Is there no other way? Im not really a good artist...

  • Damn your code is so much more simple and organized than mine, haha, i still have much to learn.

    Thanks alot youre a lifesaver!!

  • Thanks for the awesome answer blackhornet. Everything seems fine with the logic behind it. However after seeing how it works i noticed that the rotation of the angle is not fit for what i wanted to do. I must apologize for this as i made this topic without expressing myself correctly.

I realized that i what i wanted was for the sprite not to reverse to its original angle but to continue to "rotate" until it reached its original position.

I modified the capx to do this effect, however i required 2 litetween behaviours( don´t think this is optimal) and on top of that it when i touch the sprite a 2nd time the litetween doesnt go off but requires a 3rd touch to fire.

If you could help me out to understand where i failed i would be greatly appreciated

Also sorry once again for not expressing myself correctly on the first time.

  • Hi Guys.

So i have been working around with the litetween behaviour for a while now and its an awesome plugin.

However while trying to create an effect for a menu with it i´ve run into an issue and i can´t seem to figure out how to solve it.

Basically whenever i reverse the tween my sprite kinda "shakes" a little and it kinda bothers me.

If someone can see the capx and maybe understand why i would be greatly appreciated.

Also i have been trying to use the pin behaviour for a while now and i cant seem to make it work so i have been forced to make the behaviour manually.

Maybe i just dont understand how to use it, so if someone could check the capx and tell me how to use it i would also appreciate.

    Thanks in advance!

    Sorry for spamming.

  • Hm...i see thats what i wanted alright.

    Thanks.

    But theres a problem...

I wanted to managed the creation of the platforms through a global variable.

My idea is to have a global variable that controls the creation of several types of platforms as the player progress through the game.

Every time the player would reach the end of the layout, the global variable would choose between a certain amount of numbers(1,2,3,4 and so on) and depending on what it picked it would create one instance of the corresponding platform.

Say it picked 1, it would create one platform with the horizontal sine behaviour at a certain location on the layout.

If it picked 2, it would create only one instance of another platform with its corresponding behaviour...and so on.

I´m not sure if im making myself understandable but that´s basically what i was aiming for.

  • I want to create the same object that is alredy running at the top of the layout with the exact same behaviour.

Currently the one at the top is moving to the left and right, but the one that is created looks like it stretches first to the right and then to the left...I dont know if i am making myself clear...but basically all i want is to be able to create objects that went created have the horizontal sine behaviour...

    Thanks for the answer.

  • Ok thanks alot and sorry im still a bit new to the whole dropbox concept

    Heres the capx.

  • For some reason trying to create an object with a simple behaviour doesnt work.

On my capx you can see that there´s alredy a platform with the sine behaviour that i want working on top of the screen.

However when my "code" comes into action to create a new platform object with the same sine behaviour it comes all deformed and i cant seem to understand why.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks alot.

  • Hey if you could help me out with something i would be really appreciated.

I was messing around with the sine behaviour to create a platform that dissapears.

I managed to make her dissapear but i cant make it so that when it dissapears the jump-through behaviour is disabled.

    This is my "code".

    Really simple:

Platform- Is visible- Platform- Set Jumpthru enable

Platform- Is visible(inverted)- Platform- Set Jumpthru disabled.

Any idea why this doesnt work? its a really simple thing, i´m kinda confused as why it doesnt work...

    Thanks in advance
