  • Well I managed to get it working and im now able to save the value of the keys into a Jason File and Load it back up using LocalStorage.

    However im having a bit of an isssue.

    While using the Debugger i noticed that the update value of the keys don´t show when they are supposed to, but when i check the localstorage the updated values are there so i know its working, but why is that happening?

    When i restart the capx i can see theupdated values on both the LocalStorage and the Dictionary...kinda weird

    I was using text to display the values of the keys, so now they always stay at the previous value...would appreciate any help.

  • Hi all.

    I have been working on a project for some time now and the moment to work on the saving system for it has come.

    I have been trying to wrap my head around the Dictionary and how to use it to save the player progress, but so far no good. I have read multiple articles and posts on Dictionary and nothing, so i was wondering if i could get a more direct answer here.

    The concept is simple.

    I have multiple characters and each has a level, the current experience and the experience needed to reach the next level.

    To make it more organized i would also like to be able to save the Dictionary that contains all the game info as a Jason file and then load it back up whenever the user enters the game.

    But i have no idea how to use the Dictionary as all that i have ever used was global variables...

    I did noticed the the Dictionary has instance variables, maybe i could use these to save all my info?

    I do know how to work with LocalStorage but like i said i would to able to save everything as a Jason file.

    Any tutorial or explain on how to get the Dictionary to work would be highly appreciated.

  • Sorry for ressurecting this thread. I followed OddConfection instructions and managed to display the numbers how i wanted them as well except for the numbers between 1Million and 10 Million.

    I would like to be able to display for example 1 million and 200 thousand as 1.2 M until it reaches 10 million, but i don´t seem to able to do that.

    Would anyone be kind enough to teach me?

    I just have to add restore purchases on the IAP plugin in construct 2 and the user will get back the IAP he purchased even if he unnistalled the game?

  • Hey guys i have been searching alot on the forum about this but i cant get a definitive answer. I´m close to finishing my game and i want to be able to introduce API on the game, however i would also like to able to save the purchases and the progress inside the game the user has made in case for example the user unnistalls the game and installs it again or in case the they change phones or even want to play the game on a different device.

    Is there anyway i can achieve this? I i just use LocalStorage to save the progress of the game, all progress is lost if the user unnistalls the game right?

    I have been looking into the plugin Google Play Services and i know Google uses Google Cloud.

    By using this plugin is it possible to achieve this?

    If not, i am very much open to any suggestions in how to be able to save not only the progress of the game outside of the user device as well as any purchases they have made.

  • Hi guys i have been trying to simulate swipe effect to use it on a menu for my project.

    So far i have had success in stimulating the effect of swiping to the right in order to make my objects change position but i can´t seem to make my objects return to their original position by swiping the screen to the left.

    I can´t seem to understand where im going wrong in my events, would appreciate some help.
