  • My project has a total of 6 layouts. One layout (start screen) will have buttons/clickable text that takes the user to the appropriate layout (1 link for each of the 5 different layouts). However, I want the user to have to visit the layouts in a certain order. Right now when the project is loaded the first layout they need to visit is set at 100 opacity, and all the others are at 50. I want each link to only work if they're at 100 opacity. I've tried setting it up so a button that appears at the end of the first required layout will take the user back to the start screen AND set the opacity for the next layout at 100. I've been able to get the button to take the user back to the start screen but I can't seem to get the next layout link to turn to 100 opacity. Any suggestions?

  • Doing the events in a backward order worked beautifully! Thank you so much for your help!!!

  • I've been working on creating my activity using layers instead of layouts. I've got a background layer plus several layers with varying text and pictures on them. When the project loads the first layer is visible (which I want), and there's a clickable sprite on the background layer (always visible) that should take the user to the specified layer. However, when I click on it it takes me to the last layer. There's also a back sprite on the background layer, and if I click on that one while on the last layer it takes me to the previous layer and I can do so all the way to the first layer. So in a nutshell the back sprite is working fine, but the next sprite always takes me to the last layer regardless of what layer I'm currently on. I saw a topic where a user was having the same problem but the answer seemed to be highly specific for his/her problem. Anyone else encounter this or know how to remedy it?

  • I'm working on making an online interactive quiz, and users have to click on the correct answer choice to get points. Is there a way where they don't get points until after they've clicked another button? I'm worried they may accidentally press the wrong choice and miss out on their points. Here's what I would like to happen:

    1) User clicks on Answer Choice A

    2) Submit button appears

    3) User clicks on Submit button

    4) System adds 10 points to the score.

If they click on choice B I still want the submit button to appear but not have the system add 10 points. I would like for them to be able to change their mind before submitting, but only get points if the last answer they choose before submitting is the correct one. I know how to allow users to click on text and buttons and getting the system to add 10 points, but not how to incorporate elements that will allow my last sentence to be possible. I'm not sure if this makes sense but I'm happy to provide clarification.

Clarification #1: Right now I have it where they click an answer choice and if it's the right one they get their points but if it's the wrong one they don't get points. They can only click one answer choice one time; I would like them to be able to click multiple choices if they need to before the system adds points.
