    Well if I have to play witch hunt with my Chrome extensions then I'd rather wait for Desktop version.... I knew this browser based apps is not gonna work.

    Even if I unsub, If i ever need to change or edit something I just make sure my licence is active again. What's the biggie?

    Speak for yourself. If you are working in professional field then that's great, but for most of us who are merely a hobbyist who don't intend to profit from our work, this whole 'rental' scheme is real hindrance. I don't want to pay big just to re-open a project that I've created years ago.

  • Besides I thought it should be possible to be able to work on construct 3 for free (after subscription) and test it.. (without any kind of limits) But have to subscribe to actually make the exported version for upload.

    The problem with your suggestion is people would just use Construct free to build full games as many as possible and pay one time to export. Or people will just buy one Construct license and use it merely to export many games created with Free versions. It's not profitable to Scirra.

  • Isn't subscription really better for poorer people or those in poorer countries though? They've said there will still be a free version, and this way when you outgrow free or need a licence the up-front payment is smaller than it would have otherwise been.

    As long as the offline support works well and it performs well on potentially weaker hardware I see it as a win for those users.

    Native exporters would be nice though, although unless I missed it in the announcement I don't think we've been told whether or not we might be getting those yet.

    I live in one of developing countries and I can say that subscription based is pretty much not popular around here. We live in strong believe that if we pay for a thing, then we own it and we can use it as long as we wish. Which is not possible if it's subscription based.

    I only develop games in my spare time along with my other projects. I don't invest my time on Construct everyday, so paying for a time-limited software feels like a huge waste to me.

  • As you can see in the manual article about the TiledBackground object.

    The object is there to display the repetitive texture that has been loaded into it.

    So no, no stretch or fit of the texture, those only happen in the Sprite object.

    A way to "cheat" could be to have the TiledBackground on its own layer. As you know the size of the layout and you know the size of the image loaded in the object once it is loaded (expression ImageWitdth, ImageHeight) you can calculate the ratio of those and set accordingly the Layerscale and TiledBackground size so that it covers the layout and still appears with the correct "scale".

  • I had a problem with the img object, it seems to render all buttons on top of it unclickable, even though I'm putting the object on different layer. Anyone got any clue?

  • I'm using a Tiled Background to load an image from external source. It's all working well except there's seems to be not a single option to scale the image. If I pick an image which is larger than layout's size, the rest will simply cropped out. Is there any option like "Fill" or "Fit" the image to correspond with smaller layout size?
