  • So, For some odd reason construct 2 stores files and things in the temp folder.

    Why can't I change it cause each time after a month or so, the files inside seem to just dissapear and then my project is gone. This has happened to me 3 times over the times I've been developing using construct 2 and it is very very infuriating. And Is there even a way to get the files back? it is REALLY REALLY making me angry that I have to potentially restart (probably wont) because of this.

    There needs to be an option to change where it stores these types of files, it should store it in either the .caproj or .capx (seeing as the caproj is inside the capx)

    I love C2, but I can't develop games when I lose my progress..

    Thats what my brother said too! Its only like that because I cant draw.. At all, So I was gonna go for a simplistic style but it makes the game pretty ugly.

  • So, I've been workin on this for a year! and its finally shaping up to feel good!

    It feels good to shoot, got an inventory system and even a customization system!

    things to do now are

    -Make the game not ugly

    -More levels

    -Money managment systems..

    Its gonna be hard makin the game not terribly lookin (Since I cant draw) but I'll try!

    you can use local storage to make a value X only the first time, then to use it as variable as condition other events

    Uhmm, I'm not sure on how to do that.. I've never worked with local storage before..

  • Just finished the mouse ennemy, next I'll do a cat with a trident (like in the old game) coming from the windows

    Wow that acutally looks like it'd be a fun game! Nice job!

    The mouse should fade in or come out from the sides thought. It looks awkward when its just spawning in mid air!

    Also one quick note just in case you Forget:

    Right now you have one enemy and one gun and I'm not sure if you planning to add more instances of that enemy on the same level but if you do make sure you link each gun with his Parent enemy other ways you will have travel picking, you can do it by "Instance Variables" or you can link them in a "container"
