    Sapientia is know around the village as The Elder. She is the eldest in the village and is considered very wise. The villagers hold her with very high regard and trust her advice and warnings.

    You will encounter Sapientia at the beginning of the game when she asks you to do her a favour and fetch some ingredients from the forest so she can finish the medicines she is preparing to help heal the farmers goat.

  • Character

    You play as a young man named Rhed, (pronounced Red). Rhed is an orphan and lives in a small wood cutting community deep in the Euchlorus Forest.

    However, good prevailed and light was once again shed upon the land. Piceus was defeated and he retreated back to The Mountain Atrum.

  • Latest Build - Opacus Rising 24/1/13

    Hello! Decided to make a thread about my latest project instead of just placing it in the "C2 Tests" thread, as I will be posting quite a bit.

    My new project is called Opacus Rising (working title). The game it self is going to be a casual fantasy platform adventure. Similular to the likes of Limbo/Zelda. I am aiming for nice simple mechanics, but well executed and polished. There will be a environment based puzzles and combat.

    The game is being designed for IOS, so you can test on your tablets, it works on phones, but it was not really designed for that.

    Not to far in to development as of yet, but at a stage I feel I can show it.

    Remember that it is very WIP and all the art is only place holder and I will get round to changing it.

    PC Controls -

    Movement - WASD, Arrows, Mouse touch the sides of the screen

  • If you run this on your PC/Mac browser it will work fine. As you can see when you move towards the monster, he "sucks" the colours from the world. Obviously this is just a shader, but as we know you need WebGL to run the shaders.

    My problem is that as well as releasing the game for PC/Mac I am also releasing for the iPad and iPads cannot run WebGL. So is there anyway I can have this effect in the game that doesn't include WebGL, maybe using the events? Any ideas.

  • Gave myself half an hour to create a very small game. This is what I managed to come up with...

    Left Button = Move

    Right Button = Piss

    You play as a dog and have to piss on hydrants to win.

    New menu system.

    Press P on your keyboard or the P icon in game to pause.

    Press the M key or the speaker icon in game to mute.

    When you complete a level it unlocks it in the menu system.

    Now all the boring stuff is out the way I can start making more levels <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Right'o got a big ass bug. Hearing that people are only getting a black screen with the UI on when they open the game. If people have this bug can you tell me exactly what happens, what you where doing, what browser etc etc. Thanks.

  • I was thinking of adding health and magic fountains in every level. Instead of magic pick ups? Not sure though :/

    I have just noticed the music takes a while to load when you first run the game. I will fix this for the next update :) There is a now music in the menu as well.

    Just noticed the music starts playing again when you start a new level. I though I fixed this. Will bed fixed for next update :P

  • Very enjoyable :) Only minor thing I could think of is the colour pallet seems a little desaturated. In your forum sig the little thumbnails seem a lot more colourful. But enjoying what I'm seeing so far!

    1. The music not looping is my fault. Started to get sick and tired of listening to that song, so I tried to take it out of the game whilst testing, but got distracted haha, will fix it for the next update.

    2. I found if you stay on the platform and shoot from there it's not to hard, but I will adjust it to make it easier :)

    3. Will make fullscreen work For next update.

    4. Yeah I agree, it's annoying to respawn and then loads of bullets come at you from nowhere.

    5. Will sort a little health bar out for him :)

  • Haha, I like! I also found crouch really useful for dodging enemy bullets! Was funny because I added crouches as an after thought, but it's now become a really useful mechanic. As for the artwork, theres going to be an update soon with all new assets and its going to look veeeeeery nice <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
