  • Hey this is a great start! I think the style is nice and I always like when people make C2 games with gamepad support. That being said, I think you should also add keyboard controls - you lose potential players this way.

  • Looking slick, can't wait to play it!

  • Looks pretty slick! I'm getting some very minimal art deco vibes from the visuals. Reminds me of the intro to the 90's Batman cartoon.

    Thank you!

  • In my opinion your in-game design looks a bit poor, unfortunatelly. I like idea of minimalistic design and colours of game, I like poster a lot, but your level design looks inconsistent. Pixel-art character doesn't fit there. I also don't like rounded corners and overall proportions.

'k, thank you for the feedback.

  • looks great thought it would be more graphical game due to seeing poster first which looks amazing, just not representable of the chracter

Thank you! That's a reasonable observation.

We have an idea behind the poster, however. It's purpose is to remind the gamers of the 80's and NES - back then companies used this kind of dynamic graphics in their game covers and marketing. Pixel art is used a lot these days and we need to stand out somehow.

The game really looks much better and more polished in motion, I assure you. That being said, we are aiming for a minimalistic, but stylish gaming experience. Sword&Sworcery is a great example of the style we're trying to achieve.

As I said, we're working hard on a first look trailer at the moment and will post it here as soon as it's ready!

Aw yiss! We have uploaded new screenshots showing some obstacles and traps you encounter in your adventures. http://imgur.com/a/EyR17

Right now we're working hard on a first look trailer. It's hard to show how gameplay and controls work in static images.

About controls: we have two big (invisible) buttons. You tap and hold right side of the screen to move right, and vice versa. Jumping is automatic, you just have to find the right spots to do it.

The gameplay of Trambo can be summarized with one sentence: "Whatever you do, don't stop!"

Okay so this very early, I know, but I have suggestion. I think the movement of the screen would be much smoother, if it was node based. You know, when you reach a certain point the whole screen would move right and the player would again be on the left side of the screen. Hope this makes sense. Awesome work, anyways!

  • Hi there, folks! I'd like to introduce our debut game - TRAMBO - available now on the App Store!

    <img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45952665/TramboPromo.png" border="0">

Trambo is a fast paced, minimalistic - and HARD - action platformer.

Today is the launch day - and we just got featured by Apple! Wow. You can find us the New This Week -features list.

We wanted to combine exceptionally tight and simple gameplay mechanics with awesome retro aesthetics that send those warm 8-bit vibes we all still love. The controls are invisible and work very nicely - jumping is automatic and you control the character simply by tapping and holding the screen. Feel free to try!

Some screenshots and a gameplay trailer can be found here!

First review is out already: Pocketgamer, out at midnight.

We also got some attention from Toucharcade and Slidetoplay!
