  • blackhornet, thanks very much for the help! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Wertle, here's a very rough example of what I'm doing SpawnExample.

So sprites are randomly created across the layout, and because of this some spawn in similar locations, creating clusters.

I'd like to test small areas across the layout, to see which contain the largest clusters!

  • Wertle, thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure it would work!

The clusters are spawned at random points all over the layout, and they each contains a random number of sprites.

As I cannot predict where a cluster will be spawned, it might be hard to assign it a value based on its position!

    Thanks anyway   <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hi all,

I'm spawning small clusters of sprites, at random points across my layout. The number of sprites spawned in each cluster is also random.

I want to work out where the the largest clusters are created, and spawn new sprites there.

Is there a way I can count to see if a cluster contains more than 20 sprites, so that I can tell which are the largest groups?

    Thanks for any advice.

  • Bump

Hi all, still haven't had any luck finding a solution.

Has anyone else experienced this, or possibly found a solution to the problem.

Thanks, I'd be grateful for any help.

  • Aldo Tankuu,

You could try using the 'Infinite jumping' template, which comes with C2. It would use the same principles, as the game you mentioned. You'd just need to reverse everything, so that it goes DOWN rather than UP.

You can find the template by selecting a 'New' project, then scroll down to 'Infinite jumping'.

  • Hi all,

    Still no luck finding a solution for this   <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" />

The stuttering makes everything look really ugly on mobiles!

    Can anyone help, please?

    BIG THANK YOU   <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hey all,

Can anyone help me work out why I'm getting this stuttering movement on my platforms.

I'm using the auto runner example that comes with C2.

I realise the small amount of stuttering may not seem like a big deal when looking at it through a browser. But my project is for mobiles, and the stuttering is 10x worse on there.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

  • flibble,

Thanks for the confirmation, I was begining to think I was going mad   <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Can anyone help me get rid of this slight stuttering on the platforms, please.

    Big thanks   <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • lmchucho, klkitchens, thanks for the replies.

I'm still seeing the jerky movement on both my laptop and my PC. It can be difficult to notice, as it only happens for the first 5-10 seconds. It's most noticable on the platform, and you have to look really closely at the platform. That's why I added white lines, to make it easier to see.

The project I'm working on is meant for mobile, and it is much worse on there (which is why I am concerned)!

I never used to notice it at all on the PC, until recently. So I thought I'd ask the question to see if there's anything I can do to fix it!

If anyone has experienced this themselves, or does know how to fix it, I'd be really grateful for some advice!

    Thanks again

  • Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I've been using the auto runner template to create a game and have noticed that it doesn't seem to run smoothly. It seems to jerk mostly at the start. I have made an example capx to show this. I first noticed it when testing it on a mobile device but it now does it on the pc as well. I have no idea how to fix this.

I'm using an invisible sprite with the image placed on top as advised in the manual to prevent this.

    Please help <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Thanks for sharing philx!

I've been trying to solve this for a while, but couldn't quite get my head around it. Great work!!
