The condition in event 2 returns false, so the code at event 3 is never called. Add an Else to event 2 to do your create. In the second example, if there is no TiledBackground with a UID of 1, it also will return false and not run. That's the only reason Create wouldn't work.

Hmm, it is a bit odd that they were organized that way. You can import them as a strip 8x16, clone that spite as a master, and then manually delete all the frames you don't want per item. It's a bit of work, but it does work. Just do that once in a new project, save it, and you can copy then out as needed in the future.

Event 5 is conflicting. Maybe move condition 7 into event 6, so both are checked together, then add an Else and then do the NOT Platform is moving check.

This works: add a red square to the Ghost Shooter demo, and switch to Touch. No bullets fire if you press the red square.

Don't check a condition then check for the inverse. Use 'Else'. The problem is you set it to one state, then immediately set it to the opposite state. 86/87 turn it off, then 88/89 checks if it is off, and turns it on again.

Keep in mind that it takes time to get the value, so you need to delay anything that uses that value until after On exists or On missing has run.
