• I am in Greece.

But note that I have an online server in the US and I download from it at full speed so it shouldn't be something on my side.

And as TELLES0808 said using a download accelerator does not increase the down speeds as if more connections could not be made to scirra server.

I think torrenting could be a great way to distribute new builds but I don't know how worried you are about pirating.

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• Ah, well, maybe in that case a little notation could be used to give a hint that an addition was made. Like [Add-r86-12.04.12] or something.

I guess that would even help regular users take note that something new have been added/changed in the manual and could be worth having a look.

I guess you can tell by now that I like reading manuals

• Worked very nicely on win7 64.

No lag at all but system is high specs.

Very promising stuff ;)

• Hi, new user here.

I want to confirm that I have the same slow download speed issues as TELLES0808 is experiencing.

Downloading construct2 r84 took me 20 minutes at 20-30 K/sec yesterday.

Today I downloaded r86 and again it was painfully slow.

Just to check my own connection, I SSHed into my online webserver, got the file directly from scirra and then downloaded from my webserver to my PC at my full connection speed.

So as far as I can tell, the slow speed is related to scirra server and not my own connection.

Maybe you aren't allowing multiple http connections or something?

• Hi everyone,

I have started using construct a couple of days ago and am very excited about it.

One thing about the way the online manual is weird though: Is it updated with new features that are only in the beta builds? If so, I don't think it is the way to go if you want new users to keep their sanity

I spent more than 2 hours yesterday trying to create an 'OR' events block as very clearly explained in the manual (http://www.scirra.com/manual/75/how-events-work) but wasn't able to no matter how much I tried... Almost lost my mind and broke the keyboard and mouse LOL

It is only today that I read by coincidence that the OR and Else events have only just been introduced in the r86 beta build whereas I was using the stable r84 default download version.

Cheers.
