I followed this post and I now have Construct2 running on Windows 7 on my macbook pro (El Capitan OS). It took me about 3 hours (I'm not particularly tech savvy). http://pixelles.ca/blog/2014/09/install ... -2-on-macs.
Cost? £20 for a windows 7 licence.
