I like the retro platformer style graphics. Gives the game a homey feel:)

Now that you mention it, a few others have also mentioned that the voice effects are a little intrusive. Maybe I should allow the gamer to mute the audio effects and music tracks separately. Then you can just lose yourself in the music.
