  • The reason why the project file was corrupted (I have edited the XML to fix it) is I did a save between step 3 and 4.

The event sheet XML was still referring to the old sprite variable but that variable was not existing anymore since I have renamed it.

  • Hi,

Construct 2 keeps crashing when I try to click on a function call event. It did corrupt my project file. I did the following steps.

    1) I have created a common event sheet with a function called "action"

    2) I am calling that function from another event sheet with parameters values coming from a sprite attribute

    3) I have renamed the sprite attribute

    4) Crash when accessing the function call event

  • I am also interested in the AJAX plug-in. Hopefully I will be able to get the iOS update soon to test it.

  • Hi,

I am also looking at AJAX support from CocoonJS. Any updates?

    Thank you!

  • Is it possible to make AJAX call with other Content Type than the default application/x-www-form-urlencoded?

Would it be possible to make AJAX calls with Construct 2 directly in JSON or XML format?

The reason I am asking is I would like to connect to a WFC service developed in .NET C# and it is expecting XML or JSON.

  • Thank you for your response. I will make sure to export my C2 game and my web services on the same domain when testing for Internet Explorer.

  • I have found the following link. Starting in IE8, cross domain requests are enable via an IE specific object called XDomainRequest in the JavaScript client side.

AJAX - Introducing Cross-domain Request (XDR)

Ashley is that supported in the AJAX plug-in?

  • Hi everyone,

I am testing the AJAX plug-in and it is working fine with Chrome. But when I do try launching the same thing with IE9, it is unable to make the AJAX call successfully.

    <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/80240197/CAPX/ajax.jpg" border="0" />

Does anyone have a clue of what is wrong with IE9?

Note: I have enabled the cross domain with Access-Control-Allow-Origin *.

  • Hi Nimtrix

Yes it helps a lot understanding the concept. Thank you very much.

  • Hi everyone,

I have not played yet with the Touch object functions and attributes. I would like to know if someone would have an example of using the attributes to perform the following:

What I would like to do is creating let's say per example 3 menus and be able to switch from one to another smoothly with the finger (horizontal slip) on mobile device.

I would like also the 3 menus to cycle back. Example, slip the finger right to left, it would go from menu 1 to 2, 2 to 3 then 3 to 1.

Thanks for sharing your solution with me.

  • Very interested to test the New Touch object expressions to detect swipes and the angle of motion of touches.
