  • "LayoutWidth" is a system expression that you have to type into the value box for Y. It's not something you can click to add.

  • The GPD XD has button-mapping, so it should work. This is based on the video reviews I've seen so far.

  • What are the icons supposed to look like?

Your AiPaddle sprite is a white square. That's exactly what the icons are showing...white squares.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Does your game connect to a server? Do you have push notifications in your game? Do you have every user's email address?

If you did it could be possible to update the game or at least send a message with a link to download and install. You would need to have this functionality already built into the game though and the user would have to have "Unknown Sources/Allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store" enabled in their settings.

Otherwise, there is no way to update your game except through the Play Store updating process. Basically, you're looking at a lot more work than if you just went through the Play Store.

  • Personally, I would just set trigger boxes in the areas that need a bg change and use the Fade behavior to fade-in the new bg for that area.

  • Put it on a separate layout...

    • They have a fairly large team working on the engine, each one of them needs a monthly loan which adds up over time
    • Their engine & features are fully coded by themselves with next to no 3rd party software requirements
    • Native export if you take that as an advantage, usually better performance
    • 3D game development is also included with all its features

I'm sorry, but I'm not entirely sure where you're getting your information...

Buildbox is built on top of the Cocos2d-x engine...not fully coded by themselves.

Buildbox does not have native export for mobile.

    Buildbox is a 2D engine.

  • You will be sent a redeem code by email. Go to Redeem Codes to redeem it.

Then go to Your Downloads at the Scirra store to download the license.

More info can be found here to install it...

[quote:274no9fh]Once you have redeemed your purchase from the Scirra Store, you can download your Construct 2 license, which is a file called c2license.txt. You simply need to copy this folder in to either the install directory or My Documents. Restart Construct 2 and it should launch as the licensed version: the purchaser name should appear on the start page and About dialog, Free edition should disappear from the title bar, and the free edition limits should be removed. Alternatively, you can place your license file wherever you like and locate it by clicking Load license file in the About dialog.

  • +1 on Hitfilm 4 Express.

When it comes to free, this baby has a ton of features that you won't even find in some paid apps. Think of it as an easy-to-use version of AfterEffects and Premiere Pro rolled into one.

  • If the system meets these requirements...

    then you're good to go. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink">

  • I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure making a clone of Super Mario Bros is illegal. Copying any Nintendo game is definitely playing with fire...especially if you plan on distributing it. I've seen Nintendo aggressively protect their copyrights in the past. Are you really willing to risk that?

Mind you, you could get away with it if you switch out the graphics. As far as I know, the general game mechanics can't be copyrighted.

  • That is easy to imitate.

Apply physics behavior and physics joints to the neck pieces and apply a sine behavior to the head.

Look at this tutorial to get you started...
