• Hello guys. Trying to make pushing physics, but cant figure out how to make it properly.

Now , when my character is moving right and is pushing an object , its very buggy( for example then box drops).

    Can someone please look

at my cap file and fix this?

As far as I see it works.

Btw if you move your character, you have to update the end coordinate(simply add a move to object action to the end.)

    Oh, i feel so stupid.

    Thank you very much.

  • I just need to make my game 1020 x 768 for example so almost everyone can play it , and if i want 2400 x 1200 (FOR EXAMPLE) i just need to make textures larger, am i right ?

  • Hello guys. Im going to make my game fullscreen with different resolutions, but i dont want to loose quality. Game is 2d platformer and 1ve got 1 simple question. What size should have background. I mean if it is 480 pixels hight , how people with 1980x1020 monitors will see this ?

Or if it will be 1200 pixels hight, how will people with 640x480 will se it ? Do i need to make a sprites with different resolutions or what? Can someone help me with this?

  • I don't really know the Physics Behaviour that well, but from what You are saying, it sounds like moving up a slope is no problem for You? Just adjusting the angle of the Player Sprite itself (the rotation)?

You can easily do this by comparing the LastX and LastY (private variables, that You assign the .X and .Y position to, at the end of the Event Sheet) position with the current .X and .Y position, by entering the values into the angle expression (a system expression).

It will then give You the angle the Player is moving in; You then just set the Player Sprite Angle to this.

Can you please explain this more detailed or make a cap?

You have to extend it, but this is the main idea.

Thanks, but what about physics ?

  • Hello guys. I want my character to change angle while moving on up the mountain (climbing). For exampe ive got this terrain and my character does not change his angle while moving up or down. I did this with masks, but this is very difficult and i think this could be done more easily with physics behavior. Can someone plz help me with this problem ?

  • You can do this easily with the rts movement behavior, just set the deceleration and the rotation speed high(I used 30000 for deceleration and 9000 for the rotation speed, but probably lower values should be fine.)

If you use any object with "solid" attribute on it you should turn off the pathfinding, and be sure the rotating object option is on.

The events should look like this:

+ MouseKeyboard: On Right mouse button Clicked

    -> Sprite: Move to mouse

-> Sprite: Add waypoint at Sprite

Of course this is a bruteforce solution, but it works.

Thanks , but this doesnt work well. Orb just moves to the point and doesnt return or i am doing something wrong ?

  • Hello guys. Im trying to make a magic attack for my game , simular to this one

    .

I tryed to do this thing with sine behavior , but orb is moving from x1 to x2 and then returns to x0. Sorry , but i cant explain this better because of my english skills. I just want to make a particle magic attack simular to orb attack from video i linked before.

    Thank you

  • Hello guys ! . I wanted to ask, is it possible to make light simular to this one in construct. I think it is, but can someone help me ? I dont know how to do it ... It is done with shaders , am i right ? Where can i download them ?

    Thank you
