  • Yeah, what's that about?

  • I started using C2 only a couple weeks back but i am not new to design nor scripting and i have told many a story in my Dungeons and Dragons days being the dungeon master. I aim for making a pretty penny out of game making however i don't think it will be overnight. I do also wonder how many people that are pro's use this program. I was very much doubting this could produce any sort of real fancy game but by now i think that can actually be done. The program is easy to use and fairly powerfull to my surprise BUT is it good enough to create A+ games? I actually do think so and have seen some great examples of slick design here too. We will also have to admit though, that most games will never see the light of day or shouldn't.

For many reasons illustrated by others in this topic i would still love to see a collaboration section in the forum. People could work together and that way at least have their names on some creditroll and perhaps even they could split any sort of revenue.

I aim to one day quit my dayjob *nods

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Hey everyone and welcome to the forum :)

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

    Spookeh

You will probably find Construct a lot easier than any of those programming languages. No doubt..

  • I would love to have it say 3.1 when i add a subevent to the third event on my sheet. I would prefer numbers over letters too though..

  • Thanks <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • lucid, Thanks for the conformation; would you know how music based games use big name tracks then?

By asking the artist and often paying for it would be my wild guess *nods

  • Streaming music is technicly still downloaded i think just not to a permanent spot on your drive but to cache. For example.. if you go to a clip but keep it pauzed at the start and wait for the preload bar to fill, even if you then disconnect your internet the clip will still play. I don't have much knowledge on the subject but i think it works something like that. And a lot of youtube clips do not have permission either to begin with ofcourse so that would be dodgy stuff either way..

  • I must admit i have a tendency to stick to the oldest working version of stuff sothat i don't count on the enduser having to update if they are a version behind. It helps to keep the general experience be positive or better. So if FF10 or Chromex worked i will stick to that for a while cause i know some players/visitors/customers still do out of whatever reason. I hope that makes sense the way i put it :p

  • Cool, thanks <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I cannot seem to find m.

I see the buttons beneath the blog entry and comments to post the article on various websites, but not the button that is normally counted for the badges? Perhaps i am overlooking or just a dumb... well you know :) But it could be you! whehe so i am posting it..

  • If things seem a little bit out of my league AND it's still buggy, yeah i better wait a while <img src="smileys/smiley16.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Reading up about it cause you did make it sound very interesting.

And ofcourse i was merely making a joke :)
