You should probably have a debug text saying "Steamworks is available/not available" depending on if Steamworks works or not.
It will help on understanding why it doesn't work. It might be you're not using the right compatible files.
I haven't tried yet the Steamworks for Webview2 plugin so I don't know yet about the plugin.
But in the meantime, I wrote a tutorial on my blog on how to export to Steam with NW.js and which versions of files to use to get your game working on all platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Steamdeck) if you want.
The article is here: sleepingpanda.games/blog/how-to-export-your-construct-3-game-for-steam-and-steamdeck
Hope it helps!
Congratulations, Luke! So happy to finally give a try to your game very soon!
Yes, the Community of Construct is amazing as well as the engine. And that's probably one of the main reason I love Construct so far.
Awesome! Thank you for the NWJS update. That's very much appreciated and will save some time exporting for Steam 👍
Sending some love back from Belgium! :-)
Yet another amazing year for Construct and its development team <3
You can find all Steamworks SDK versions available to download on the Steamworks SDK Downloads page here: partner.steamgames.com/downloads/list
Mateus's template are incredibly good & helpful, plus his games are pure gems. That's really cool to see an interview of him here, plus I'm really glad to read that he is now able to work on games full time! Keep up, Mateus! You deserve all this :-)
Thank you Laura for sharing this tutorial. I was a bit in trouble a few months ago regarding analog values. I dindn't really know which values to set to get a up, right, down, and left movement detection. It took me some time to run a couple of tests and find out. Hopefully now there is a tutorial to explain that. I bookmarked it for later use/references. ✌️
This is a great news, Ashley! Thank you for your post.
I've been looking on the Internet about Raspberry Pi 4 back this Summer because I wanted to see if it would be possible to put my GBJAM game on this. I'll probably invest in one very soon. If I could build a custom GameBoy-like handheld device with it, it could be sooo fun :p
I confirm it does work for me. I use only stable releases, and Construct 3 asks me to update only once a new stable release is available.
P.S.: Thanks again to the awesome crew! <3
Wishing some good holidays to the team. You deserve it, guys :)
This was a must, and you knew it!
Thank you very much once again for the effort. This is terribly great update, and will spare a lot of my time regarding parameters. <3
Congrats for the default C3 runtime. I'm waiting for the stable release to try it. Very excited! 😊🥰
That's great to see an example of Localstorage usage by you, guys. Thanks a lot! <3
This is really great! Thank you for this time-savy feature, and your quick answer.
C3 runtime: Text & SpriteFont 'Is running typewriter text', 'On typewriter text finished' conditions and 'Finish typewriter' action
What's this? I didn't know C3 has a built-in typewriter effect, or that you were developing it. Am I right? I can't find documentation about it yet. If this is it, then this is really awesome, guys!
