  • This is my entry for the competition, I may tweak a few things and add level select, but it's pretty much done.

Also this is my first game, and I must say that Construct 2 really is brilliant for creating this kind of thing, your imagination is the limit!

    Well here it is: http://www.scirra.com/arcade/rotary/538/splat

Any feedback is greatly appreciated =)

Also, runs best in Chrome, but works pretty well in all, even IE!

Should also run on less powerful machines as I tested it on a netbook throughout and used Delta Time =)

  • Any updates on this? I wanted to upload my Rotary game but can't

  • Ah, cool, thanks =)

  • Hi, I'm having the same problem, file is 9.6mb, yet it's saying that it's too big! Any ideas?

  • You can already refer to layers by their name in the event editor (eg. Create object on layer "Hud"), as long as you put the name in quotes, which should solve this problem =)

  • Oh, yes sorry, should have specified it didn't occur in any other browsers =) But thank you! Was making me cautious of continuing if it didn't have IE suupport.

  • I've noticed a bug that makes my game unplayable in internet explorer. It would appear that if you create a family that has a tiled background in it, it simply won't load in internet explorer 9. I've definitely had this problem since 78, possibly beforehand, but have only just identified what the actual cause was.

    Here's the html.

    And here's the capx.

I've tried running it on ie9 on several computers and it hasn't loaded, so don't think it's just me =) All pc's I've run this on have been windows 7, but have varied between 32 and 64bit.

Wii Remotes actually use bluetooth, so if you have a bluetooth adapter for your pc then you should just be able to add it to your bluetooth devices.

Can't remember if you need more software or not though, I have only done it with an emulator that recognised the wii remote.

  • That was brilliant! I'll agree that using the number keys was a bit odd, but don't really see a problem with it =)

  • Sorry, should have been clearer! It ran completely fluidly, almost constantly 60fps, lowest it dipped was 57fps. That was after playing for a few minutes =) Also, I like the graphics btw!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I noticed a similar problem with my game a few days back, that suddenly the game was stuttering, despite a pretty good fps. This only happened in firefox though, was fine in all other browsers.

The weird thing though was that when I exported the game and played it from a remote host it ran fine again. No idea what's going on, but firefox appears to suddenly dislike myself hosting the game. Have you tested running it from an external server? It might be a similar problem to the one I'm having.

As a side note though, your game's running pretty well for me in firefox =)

  • Thank you so much, this will be very useful. I'll give you thanks in the credits of the game I'm making =)
