I need A little help withe the Melee Issue and I can't read Coding so When Reading the Tutorial I only understand like half of it and it's not working for me Is there a dumb down version for someone like me?

I'm Still New to this program and I am trying to work out all the bugs before I start on my own game so I'm doing a simple version of Streets of rage to test everything and. in my game I would like to have the sprite do short Melee but I'm having a problem doing so wonder if someone could help here's the link:

I'm very new to this But I catch on quick I'm having a problem with my construct 2 I currently have the Free edition and plan on buying the full but just wanted to test it first because I will be doing a lot of work with this, but here is my problem I can make my sprite walk I'm downloaded a sprite sheet broke the images up frame by frame and added 3 animations idle walk and jump then added the platform behavior but every time I test it out my sprite just slides across the screen like a stiff board<img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> if you can please help my the would mean so much thank you
