  • Thanks for the tip, I will put this suggestion.

Look, in fact this is very common, very much, more than everyone thinks. I have been working with Construct for many years, and many clients just want to change images after the game is ready.

And as it was before, it was very simple for anyone to change the images of the game. Just open it in Photoshop (example), change the image and save. Now, it is more complicated, because there is no way to know the limits of the original image.

It is a pity, I think this optimization should be optional. I know all the good points, and I totally agree. But I think it should be optional, in small games it wouldn't make a difference.

I will send this suggestion. Thank you all.

  • I would like to do this because I have some customers who just modify the images of ready games, such as the logo or the character. I instruct them to maintain only the original dimensions.

To modify the images, you do not need a Construct license. It is very common to ask me to just change the images, and keeping the original size and separate, makes the job easier.

Just for me to understand, then it wouldn't be possible to do that, at that moment?

    Thanks for the answers.

  • Hey! I would like that when it comes to exporting my game to html5, Construct does not join the images. The program takes 10 images and transforms them into a single image. I wanted that when it was time to export, the original images would remain, without adding them to others.

For example my friend, if I imported 87 images, I would like those 87 images to remain. And that there would not be 5 images with all together.

I know that it does a lot better, putting it together and optimizing it. But I wanted to have this option to cancel this on some projects. For me, it will facilitate in some projects.

    And that's it =)

  • Hi guys.

I always prefer to use my own preloader, so it is customized according to my taste and that of the client. And I try to make it very light, with very few images.

And he always appears fast while loading the game. But when I insert the songs, which I always leave last, there is a long time of black screen, with nothing.

If I use Construct's own preloader, such as the bar or percent text, it loads faster.

From my research I have seen that a lot of people have already mentioned it. But I could not find a solution. Anyone have any news on this?

    Thanks!

  • Hi! When I click "Add to home page" in Chrome, some games are added as a shortcut on my phone. But other games are downloaded, and I have to uninstall the game.

I would like my games to be downloaded as an app, but I do not know how to do it. Some games download, but others do not.

Does anyone know which change in the game has to be made for this? Or it is Chrome or Android that decides, according to the size of the game or other configuration ...

    Thank you.

  • Hi guys! I have some complicated questions about preloader, I'll try to explain what I want.

I made a game that will serve as a template for other games. For example, with a code on the page "index.html" I will change the images of the game, using the "load image".

But this only works after all the images in the game have already been loaded, or when the game loads completely. Thus, the current game images and images of the new game are loaded. I think that's a big problem, and it takes longer to load.

I thought of some solutions, which sum up these questions:

    - Can not load images from a particular layout?

    • Can not load all the images in the preloader?
    • Is a preloader possible for Load Images?
    • Is a unique preloader possible for a sound?

    Thank you

  • Hello super game developers friends!

My doubt is a doubt that everyone will one day.

My game is in an iframe, simple and cool. But I would like the mobile, this iframe become smaller. Below is an image that best explains.

I believe that this change is not made in Contruct program but with a javascript.

Who knows the answer wins a Mushroom Mario.

    Thank you!

  • Thank you friend, I understand what the problem is. I believe that is the majority of the servers that have this setup because I tested in another now, and it did not work. I hope the servers correct it.

  • Try Construct 3

    1. exporting the game to website;

    2. click the colored square to hear the sound.

    Observed result:

When I open the game on my computer using Intenet Explorer, the sounds work. When I go to my server, and the game is on line, the sounds do not work anymore. This occurs only in Internet Explorer.

    Expected result:

The sounds work in Internet Explorer.

    Hi Ashley!

I researched a lot here in the forum but could not find the answer. I found it strange to work on my machine, but not on the server.

    Hugs, good job!

  • ghost thanks for the research, I think that was what I really thought.

Arima I did many tests, I usually do a game dry, no graphics first to see how it works. And when you have physical mobile is slow, and sometimes in firefox.

  • ghost exactly, decrease the decimal places of the calculation. It's just a theory, but I think it can reduce memory usage.

TELLES0808 I did these tests, but has not changed much. Suddenly a plugin solve.

  • leveraging the topic, I have a doubt. When the game is physical, it is usually very slow in mobile, and in some browsers. I believe that because of the amount of calculations.

the solution would have the option to reduce the next decimal place after zero, for example, rather than 2.14356789 would be 2.14. It could be something optional. What do you think?
