  • OH! It must be the same thing I get all over again. In Windows 7 Ultimate "N Edition" there is NO media player components at all because this version of windows is made for stable development workstation (I'm a windows developer).

    Sorry about opening a thread about that, I should had known hehe.

  • Hi!

    I'm trying to make a sound play only once when a variable arrives at zero.

    I'm making a zombie killing game and when the zombie count arrives at zero I play a sound and show a screen that says winner, etc.

    But the problem is that the sounds get played back-to-back on every tick and it's making an insane effect hehe. Here's what I've done:

    Sometimes when I import sounds created with Win7's default sound recorder on Windows 7 Ultimate N 64bits I get this error:

    (I'm still able to use the ogg or the wav in my games though)

    I don't know if it has been reported yet, but if you need more info don't hesitate.

  • Hi!

    I'd like to know if it is legal to use let's say, sprites from some SNES games inside our games if we distribute them totally for FREE?

    I mean if I use some characters and objects from a game that I don't get a penny from it, how could it be wrong to do so?

    If anyone could inform me about that I'd be grateful.

    And if not, do you know any place I could get those for free-of-charge without any usage restrictions? I'm more than a techie than a drawing artist unfortunately... hehe!

  • I don't know if it's the same bug but I exported a game on my server, tried to play it, everything is fine but I have no backing music nor sound effects. I exported, (sounds are ogg btw) and then uploaded straight to the FTP. I'm using google chrome latest canary. Thanks!

    Oh and another thing: everytime I export, then I come back to C2 and I have no sounds at all when I test the game. I have to restart C2 and then I have it back...

  • OH! NEVERMIND! I just found it!

    The animations window was out of my screen for some reasons, so I wasn't aware of its existence and I had created other objects for the animations. So I wasn't using the right stuff at all!

    Now it is working fine!!!

    I know there's already something in the FAQ about that but I didn't get it right even if I went right through the FAQ...

    I'm trying to have an animation by direction for my character.

    I have a level with a character in it. I dropped a keyboard object in it and created an event for keyboard UP key with an action telling the my current animation (selected the one I took for in the level) to set animation for the new one but I don't know what to do next so I put .Angle next to it...

    Long story short, When I press the UP key the character moves towards to the top but the animation does not change...

    I wonder what am I doing wrong?

  • Have you tried 'Import sprite strip' for importing sprite sheets? The Animations Bar is the one floating at the bottom of the animations editor (double click a sprite to open the animations editor). Right click in that bar to find the option.

    FORGET THIS PART: Yes I did but the problem is that my sprites are in the form of sheets (all animations frame are on the SAME image...) So that is why I'd have to have something to split them up before importing them inside the animation editor.

    Also: I can't seem to find a way of switching animations when my character moves, like when I press UP I want the animation where we see my character from the back starts. I found in the FAQ a thread that explains it a bit, but there's still pieces missing hehe.
