You can use the directive
distance(x1,y1,x2,y2)

to determine how close the player is. And you can compare player X and Enemy X to see if you are left or right of the foe

I would render a transition animation which then has to be played when you mirror the sprite

let me get this "straight" for my squish brain. You want the targetplattform to move down a certain amount of pixels when the boxes stacked on the plattform build up to a certain hight?!

...and it has to move back up, if the "tower" somehow shrinks....tumbles down?

You could use the system event "every x seconds" and change the Y of the spite by
Set y = self.y - 5

Do you really need the delta? I would think, that the players X is the plattform X plus some sort of offset. And the offset is determined by the position the player grabs a hold on and his on movement on the x axis...
