    KZR: Still can't replicate the issue. Is it happening in the example capx? If not, could you give me one where it is happening?

    My weekdays have been fairly busy (and probably will be for a few months more unfortunately), so my general plan is to work on things on the weekends, releasing an update on Sunday evenings if I can get anything substantial done.

    That said, I might not manage to release anything by tomorrow. I'd like to address the tilemap issue in the next release, but I haven't made as much headway as I would have liked today. I guess I'll see how tomorrow goes.

    This is Outstanding! PixelMonkey, thanks for sharing this kickass extension to C2. I will dive in a little later, but it sound like it pushes movement in exactly the direction I was hoping to take my C2 project. Digital Beers are on me

    Thanks for your note. So I gather this type motion is doable in C2? The question was as to whether it is doable in C2, not how(I love the r & d portion of projects). I looked through quite a few items in the arcade, and didn't notice any with character movement that oriented to slopes or angled surfaces. For instance, in Unity, I would create custom polygon colliders for a hilly 2d environment piece. C2 seems to use the Solid behavior, not sure if this conforms to curves. I am currently not working in C2 or plan to in the coming week or so. But it's on sale now, so if this is a known shortcoming, I imagined someone might confirm with a brief informed reply.

    I'm sorry, I dont want to hurt your feelings but I'm not impressed. Good luck in releasing that on Google/Apple store and make money out of it.

    Err, I'm a Unity guy and I think C2 is a neat engine. You're not gonna build Fallout in it, but it sounds like you are either are grumpy that it still requires you to actually develop/design a game(GDD), or you're just trollin' cause you're bored. Post your current build, ask a question, I'm sure the guys can help if you've gotten that far.

  • Construct 2 seems like a terrific engine. This is also a wonderfully helpful and involved community. I have one question before I purchase.

    Here's my question. I want to make a side scroller game and the main character would 'slide or ski' along hills, maybe hit a slop and take air. I've not seen any examples of a 2d character 'hugging' the curves, what I mean is orienting to the curve he's following (see attached image). Is this type of motion, possible in Construct 2? I imagine it would be physics/force driven, but any input/insight would be greatly appreciated. Sort of like Tiny Wings in anyone remembers that game.
