  • Oh must have missed that before. How embarassing...

    Thanks for the help, zenox98!

  • Hello!

Just wondering since my project includes a few third-party plugins and one I made myself.

If not, how hard would it be to change them so they can be used in C3?

  • Yeah I think so too. Thanks for the suggestion, looks like it could work!

  • Hi!

I have been trying to compile my game with Inno Setup to make a .exe setup but to no success. Everything works and goes along fine as I followed goldenskygiang's "Make a Windows installer file (.exe file) using Inno Setup Compiler" but when I try to run the game setup file it tells me "Missing FIle Error: Unable to find locale data files. Please reinstall."

The few things that I have found is that goldenskygiang says in his tutorial is that the exe file wont be able to run before you compile but mine can. And when he shows which files to include there are far less on his screen than shown on mine.

I am sure this has something to do with that NW.js been updated (since the tutorial is from July last year) but it would be really nice to be able to give the users a setup instead of a bunch of tiny files. I run on a laptop with windows 8 if that helps.

    have a good day!

  • ludei Is there any news on this? it is a bit of a deal breaker that my game requires that the user that the app reads their phone. Noticed that people have asked this on your forum but you have not answered them. It is very shady and not saying anything isn't really helping you here.

  • Thanks man!

  • Hello Construct 2 people!

I have a small problem which probably is somewhere in the manual but I am having a hard time to find it so I thought I might go here and post instead. I have a sprite (a tree to be more specific) where when I pass its origin point on the Y axis it moves to the upper layer (so if I move "above" the sprite it moves it to the front layer so it appears I am behind it and vice versa) but it only really works for the first sprite. The rest behaves from the first sprites Y axis so any tree that is under the "original" tree is always on the bottom layer and all the trees above it is on the top layer.

If anyone has an idea to fix this or work around that would be really appriceated!

  • Try Construct 3

  • I tweaked the first method so it works with the animations but they don't change while I am touching the screen. When I initate they change but if I change angle it stays in the same animation frame as before. I have four animation frames at the moment which is a 2d character facing north, east, south, west so it is not about rotating it but changing the frame at the desired direction he is moving (just to clarify).

  • Will check it out when I get home but looks like what I need!

  • Hi!

Was wondering if there is a way to compare the X or Y speed so when (example) the character is moving down, that the character is facing that way. I am working with touch controls and is having a rough time figuring it out. I know that there is an action where you compare the y co-ordinate but isn't one for speed. I use Rex's Plugin "MoveTo" behaviour for the touch input if that helps.

  • Nice to hear

  • Just wondered if there is going to be any "The Great HTML5 Gaming Performance Test: 2015 edition" like the one last year.

I would really want to know the scope of devices Construct 2 can run neatly on because I don't have access to a wide array of mobile devices (nor a Mac).
