  • to be honest im no math wizard like R0J0hound and just ported this 1:1 from construct classic... it works... don't ask me how and why :D

  • This is perfect.

Thanks for fixing my broken try :D

  • Well i'm trying to replicate some oldschool amiga effects and while i got the basics working for the laser blit / stretch effect it isn't 100% how it should be (and kinda slow)

What i'm trying to replicate is the effect used for example in the title sequence and highscore of project x:

    youtube.com/watch

what i have so far is this:

    dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45711709/amiga_laser.capx

Looks close but not 100% and i guess there is an easier / better way to achieve this effect... maybe R0J0hound could take a look? or anyone else that's good with the canvas plugin (haven't tried paster for this yet!)

    not really <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Thanks, glad you guys like it.

I'm not sure how to build an .exe version of this... however i'll look into Node-Webkit and see if i can generate files with that somehow :D

  • Hey guys i've added a new gui to one of my old projects so i might aswell share it here :)

i was kinda annoyed to always export my particles and check how they look so i made this little particle lab.

    You can:

    • adjust all basic parameters
    • change the mode (contiunous / one-shot)
    • drag the particle (mouse over)
    • set the particle angle
    • change the particle color

and you can also switch the background color to either light or dark and the best thing is that you can export a .CAPX with your generated particle ( i added this cause im lazy <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle"> )

    Here is the link: http://ize.dj/plab/

and here is how it looks:

    <img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/14xf4o7.jpg" border="0">

Note: Export only works from my server cause the "app" relies on server-side scripts to generate the .CAPX

Extra Note: Presets don't work, other gui bugs

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

    dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45711709/particleSpeedBug.capx

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Change the speed randomiser textbox

    2. notice the particle emitter doesn't seem to care alot about it

    3. ???

    Observed result:

    Initial particle speed doesn't change

    Expected result:

    Initial particle speed changes

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: yes

    Firefox: yes

    Internet Explorer: i guess

    Operating system & service pack:

    Windows 7 64 Bit

    Construct 2 version:

    148

  • Create a global variable for everything you want to carry to other layouts like music volume, unlocked levels etc.

If you want to store these settings save them using webstorage for later use

  • Sure

  • Sprite on any animation finished -> set animation to "Default"

  • rozpustelnik ( i had to copy and paste your name... wtf? <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> )

that looks great... wanna see it in motion :D

  • <img src="http://oi44.tinypic.com/20a3nrd.jpg" border="0" />

    Is this what you want?

    EDIT: random should be 3 ofcourse cause it's always number -1 <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
